  • "Nice lodge, great location, just needed a few things repairing: - blinds in 2nd bedroom & living room broken - toilet seats in both bathroom broken - main bathroom seat kept slipping off the bae - en-suite kept closing when open (very annoying when sat on) - needs touching up - wall in dining room scratched - plastic coating on freezer pealing off Nothing major, would just help too make the lodge more comfortable We felt very looked over in the hot-tub when next door were washing up."

Their kitchen window looked straight out onto our hot-tub. A fence on that side of the hot-tub could help. Also, we queries if there was a washing machine before travelling, we were told no - when we arrived there is one. This should be mentioned in facilities as it is a welcome extra. All this aside we had a great stay.

  • "A good sized accommodation for two people, would have been a bit cramped up for seating with a family of four."

The filter was missing from the kitchen tap, pizza remnants stuck on the entrance door, dog hairs in ground into the carpets, fridge And freezer had not been cleaned, Roman blinds in bedroom difficult to operate , the drain plug in the shower had never been cleaned for months also the outside decking was slippery from the slime and moss . It seems a cheek of Sykes to ask to leave the place as clean as we found it, well To say it was a hundred percent more clean than when we first arrived. The cleaning staff need to up their game. Earlier this year we went to a Haven site on the east coast and the lodges were spotless.

  • "Happy to find the lodge had provided hand wash and toilet roll (not all do!"

) Some technical issues with the hot tub but this was resolved fairly quickly, would help to have a user manual or basic instructions at the lodge. The WiFi worked well. Only complaint would be the balcony not being completely enclosed, as it would of been nice to allow the dogs to freely walk out there.

  • "Absolutely fantastic holiday."

You need to include in your listing that there is a washer/dryer in the accommodation, this was a bonus for me. The listing states WiFi but it doesn't work. This was a reason we booked this lodge and we had to pay for extra mobile data for 3 people which was quite expensive. Also its listed as dog friendly and we booked because it has an enclosed verandah to keep our puppy in. We were aware there was no gate at the end to keep him in but we'd brought his crate with the intention of blocking it with that. However, when we arrived one of the glass panels on the verandah was missing so we were unable to block the end and the gap in the verandah and therefore couldn't go and sit outside or let him out on the verandah which was really disappointing. Fixing the panel and putting a gate at the end along with sorting the WiFi and it would be perfect
