The accommodation was spacious, spotlessly clean and the little thoughtful touches really made a difference. The site itself was beautiful and peaceful, with easy access to everything we needed. The boys enjoyed fishing while the girls made the most of the swimming, so there was something for everyone to enjoy. "The accommodation was fantastic."
The inside has been refurbished so although the outside of the lodge looks good, the inside is like a brand new lodge. TVs in all the bedrooms was a bonus I didn't expect. It looked liked all the windows and doors have been recently fitted. Very impressive. We will definitely book again.

Quiet and ideal for dog owners. Close access to the M6 and A6 for travelling about. We were very pleased with this accommodation but would note that access to it is up a short set of steps onto the decking with no ramp for prams and pushchairs, otherwise excellent.

"Very nice, spacious lodge, lovely site."
Close to lots of activities, just a short drive to the beach. The lake on the grounds provides a nice circular route for stretching your legs and walking your dog. The only issue we had was that there is a door in the lodge where they ask dogs not go beyond. With the listing claiming that the lodge is dog friendly this was unexpected. I think it should be clearer on the listing that it's dog friendly but with certain boundaries in place.

"We had the most amazing holiday, the owners went above and beyond to make us feel welcome and for us to have a magical Christmas with the children."
This was our third Christmas away in a lodge but the first time of owners making us feel welcome and helpful. We will definitely be coming back!! A welcome pack and information booklet is included which was very much appreciated and handy. The lodge was clean and tidy, had everything we needed for a large family, in a great area with lots of things do with the children, nice dog walks, will definitely recommend to friends and family, thank you xxx

"Our accommodation was absolutely lovely in every way."
There isn't much to do on site unless you like fishing. The bar has a dart board but you have to use your own darts as they don't have any. Swimming pool is £10 per day. We did have a very relaxing time.

Lots of lovely, homely and thoughtful touches. Comfortable beds, Lodge in good position on site, views of the lake, good parking for 2 cars. Negatives: Sadly I cannot give the same good reviews as other have regarding the level of attention to detail with cleanliness of the lodge. On arrival the dining room table still had crumbs of food, smears of either jam or tomato sauce and hair on it. One of the bedroom bins was full, some of the crockery in the cupboards had dried food stains on them. Bathroom radiator had smears of make up across it and was thick with dust. All external lodge windows and doors were very dirty. We stay in lodges on this site and a nearby site several times a year to visit family so can make comparisons but sadly this one did not meet our expectations.
I’m very sorry you have had this issue as you can see from all our other reviews we have high score for cleanliness. If you had called our number in the welcome pack our cleaners would have come back immediately and cleaned the lodge again, the outside windows can be cleaned one day and be covered in cobwebs the next it’s the nature of the location. I will raise this with our cleaners to ensure the lodge is cleaned correctly. Property Owner

"Absolutely loved our stay here!"
It’s in such a lovely location, we had 5 kids with us and we didn’t fall short of things to do. The property itself is absolutely wonderful, it had everything we needed, the beds were comfortable and we felt we had plenty of room with 7 of us there. One of mine & my partner’s favourite times was during the warm evenings when we could sit out on the decking with the fairy lights on. And first thing in the morning when we could walk the kids down to sit by the lake. Thank you for such a lovely stay!! :)

"The lodge is absolutely stunning."
It is pristine and comfortable. It is really close to the lake and is definitely worth bringing your paddleboard if you enjoy water sports. The restaurant/leisure centre is a couple of minutes away. My only criticism is the onsite leisure centre/pool is pretty expensive. It was £25 for a family of four per day, albeit you have unlimited access. The lodge is also a great base for visiting Blackpool, morecambe etc. For our family, we loved the lodge and will definitely return. Thank you

"The Lodge was exceptional."
The cleanliness and small homely aspects all added to a wonderful week spent with 4 generations of family. Ages ranged from 5 to 82 and all were catered for. The only very small suggestion would be for a shower mat, as my elderly mum has mobility problems and needs the added safety. Thank you again for a fantastic week.

The lodge is warm, extremely well equipped, the double bed (there were only two of us) very comfortable, and the property is conveniently positioned. "The one thing the site is missing is a small grassed area for dogs to be let off the lead for a play and run around."

"Beautiful location and everything you could think of was within the lodge for you to be able to easily access."
Plenty of comfort round too like Alexa for radio, smart tvs in every room, lots of kitchen wear to use and the beds are very comfortable. Clean though out, to a beautiful standard though out and the welcome pack has lots of useful information. The area itself is beautiful to see with a lake right outside your front door and lovely patio to sit and enjoy the views. Can drive to all well known and not so well known spots throughout the Lake District easily and quickly also beautiful scenery too look at on route. We also loved the fact we could bring our pooches along to enjoy the trip with us, this made our experience even better and our pooches throughly enjoyed themselves. "Lovely lodge in a great spot around the lake."
Very well stocked with crockery, pots and utensils. The only thing missing was a washing machine. The lakeside resort has the M6 and A6 main roadways bordering it, so there is a fair bit of traffic noise, however this does make it easy to access the surrounding nearby activities/sightseeing. The on-site restaurant/bar is good and reasonably priced but is closed for food Mon/Tues. The leisure centre is ok but excessively priced for a day or week pass, in my opinion.

We've made the conscious decision not to fit a washing machine as there is an excellent on site laundry, which I am aware isn't widely publicised, but is mentioned in our welcome pack. With a majority of bookings being short breaks, it isn't something that has been raised previously, but is something we may revisit in the future. The location on the park has been noted previously for it's peace and tranquility, whilst retaining easy access to the transport network, as you mentioned in your review. We have provided feedback to the restaurant about the limited opening, but with excellent local options available within walking distance, hope it did not detract from a relaxing stay. "Lakeside 20 was the perfect place for our relaxing weekend break."
A quiet location with plenty of grassy walks for our elderly dogs to mooch around on. There were lots of other dogs for them to meet while 'mum and dad' partook of a tipple or two at the Lakeside bar on a gloriously sunny afternoon, and we enjoyed watching the paddle boarders and canoeists ... but we were there for the relaxing.. The lodge itself was beautifully clean and well maintained, with all the little extras that you might have forgotten to bring, helpfully there just in case you needed them. When our teabags ran out on the last day it was good to know we could help ourselves to two from the jar on the worktop. Everything had been thought of and done really well, and the communication with the owner was brilliant. Highly recommended.

"Fabulous stay in a lovely tranquil setting."
Open the doors and all you could hear were the birds. The lodge was spotless and recently refurbished. We didnt want to leave, and will be looking to book again. We were happy just spending time in the lodge and walking our dog around the lake. Windermere is a 30mins drive and there is a Tesco, Aldi and Booths in Carnforth 5mins drive away.
