  • "Lovely accommodation, beautiful place to stay and really friendly/helpful Thank you for a lovely stay"

  • "The cottage is very comfortable and well maintained for self catering."

Even has games for kids and adults for rainy days. The holiday complex has a restaurant/bar/cafe. Dogs are welcome but not in the restaurant. The spa has a pool, sauna, and gym. It’s £12 a day to use which is an expensive swim if that’s all you use! Various beauty and massage treatments are available at the spa but book before you get there or you may be disappointed. The site would benefit from a shop of some sort. The nearest is Carnforth.

Hi Cathryn, glad you enjoyed yor stay with us, swim prices are out of our control unfortunately, the spa is lovely, but it is also very popular, the nearest convenience shop is actually on Truckhaven 1.4 miles, 3 minute drive away, the nearest supermarket is Carnforth. We would love you to stay with us again sometime. Property Owner

The cabin was wonderful, we would highly recommend to anyone. Comfortable, well appointed, great locations and facilities. Take a paddle board or a canoe if you have one, we wished we had took ours. We will be back and thank you for the most wonderful week and us use and enjoy your cabin! 5 stars all round!

Thank you David, so pleased you had a lovely time, and we look forward to hosting you, your family and your paddleboard in the future. Property Owner

  • "Beautiful lodge lovely quiet site, was very clean no issues really apart from ..."

Beautiful lodge lovely quiet site, was very clean no issues really apart from couldn't turn lights on with Alexa and unable to do it manually just had to use main lights which was fine just bright, nice bar on site with reasonable food lovely pub 5 minutes drive away, would recommend as very relaxing

Glad you had a lovely break in our lodge, the instructions for the lights should be in the file, but we do know that sometimes previous guests change the set-up, we do try and keep on top of this - when they work, it is great being able to control without moving from a comfy place - hopefully, if you re-visit all will be well Property Owner

Thank you for your feedback - it is lovely to hear that you had a lovely time, welcome to re-visit anytime Property Owner

  • "The lodge was great."

Well equipped and good size for family of 6. Just needed a better hoover so that the carpets could be cleaner. Lovely location to visit and would highly recommend. Swimming pool fab but didn’t use the restaurant due to limited menu not suitable for fussy children!

Rachel, so glad you thought the lodge was great and you would recommend to others. The hoover is just one for guests to use if they wish to, our cleaning team have there own equipment and we are always complimented on the standard of cleanliness in the lodge. Property Owner

  • "The lodge was well equipped, spacious and clean but the beds were not very comfortable for any of us."

We felt that the leisure centre was quite expensive, it should clearly state in the lodge description that there is an extra charge to use the pool. The restaurant would not cater for take away service (we have 2 dogs so couldn’t leave them) they said they were too busy but we could book a table! Not sure how they’d be less busy to do that. However we did enjoy our short stay as we love the surrounding area.

Christine, so glad you enjoyed your stay with us, we are sorry you didn't find the beds to your taste, beds are a personal choice, unfortunately the restaurant is out of our control, we hope to see you again sometime Property Owner
