  • "Comfy sofa with nice views of lake."

    Plenty of dvds and hot tub useful. Unfortunately setting thermostat at 5 degrees meant when we arrived the accommodation was at 5 degrees. It took until overnight to warm up. I have never stayed in accommodation where the thermostat is set so low. I would suggest that it is set up when guests are due to arrive as the hot tub was set up to temperate so that should be also possible. Also surprised no other mention of the road noise and train track sound which is prevalent when outside.

    We are pleased to hear you found Waterside Lodge comfortable and enjoyed the views and hot tub. We generally find once the heating is turned up our lodge heats up quite quickly.   • "We had a wonderful stay at Waterside Lodge."

    The kitchen was well equipped with everything you need, it was spotlessly clean throughout, plenty of towels, decent beds and a fabulous hot tub! The site was very quiet with a small park for children, but plenty of ducks and rabbits to keep them entertained. Would highly recommend.

  • "Thank you for a lovely get away."

    The lodge was extremely comfortable and homely and the site, and the staff were helpful. Special mention goes to Sam who worked in the bar/restaurant who was very helpful and friendly and made us feel welcome. Food in the restaurant was also of a high standard. The hot tub was beautiful and clean and the beds were comfy. Thank you for a great stay and experience and we will be returning again at some point next year.

  • "Place needs a thoroughly deep clean."

    Cobwebs everywhere, freezer door ajar and completely frosted up with old ice creams in, spent first 90 minutes of holiday defrosting it. Oven doesn’t work as you can’t control the gas setting, stains all over the mattress topper in main bedroom, filthy cushions. Property owner doesn’t care and took forever to respond to issues raised. Offered a derisory £30 as compensation and said they will have to pay the cleaner extra because we hadn’t vacated the lodge by the 10am checkout time. Don’t waste your money visiting this lodge

    Thank you for your feedback, it's a shame you only mentioned the issues on the Sykes app 31 hrs after check in late in the evening. Had this been done sooner we could have rectified any issues you had. We did respond to you in the morning the next day and sent our Cleaning Manager around twice to see you but unfortunately you were unavailable on both occasions. The cobwebs you mentioned were outside the lodge, unfortunately we have no control over spiders on the park. On checking the oven there were no issues found and we do have an information folder in the lodge with how to operate the gas settings. 10am is the advertised check out time unless a late check out has been agreed to avoid disruption to the cleaners timetable. We were sorry to hear of your experience with the freezer and offered a small compensation for your trouble. As you can see from previous reviews we take great pride in communication with our guests and have only ever received positive comments on the cleanliness of our lodge.   • "We stayed at the Waterside lodge for 4 nights."

    The lodge was very comfortable and clean and overlooked a pond with plenty of wildlife.Despite the dodgy weather we managed to use the hot tub which was very nice.The restaurant/pub is literally across the road and does an excellent breakfast.Onsite there is a swimming pool and gym which can be used for a small fee.Overall our stay at the Waterside lodge was excellent and relaxing and we will definitely be rebooking to stay here again.   • "Just arrived home after a lovely 4 day break away at this property."

    All 4 of us had such an amazing time and the only regret was not staying for longer! The lodge itself was extremely clean and very homely as soon as you walk through the door. If I had any constructive criticism it would be that there wasn't enough toilet roll and no recycling facilities. Other than that no complaints from any of us! The hot tub was well worth booking, as a group we spent a lot of our time in the hot tub which was too good to get out of! We would 1000% return and would highly recommend this lodge for anybody else looking to book! Thank you for your hospitality!!!!!

  • "We had an amazing stay at the lodge."

    It was in such a quiet and relaxing park and the pitch itself looking out at the small pond was wonderful. Just what we needed for our escape. I hadn’t realised the access to the pool wasn’t included or that day passes literally meant you could come and go - both of these things would have been helpful to know as £25 a go for a family for a swimming session adds up. However the pool and facilities were very good and we did use them. Including visiting the lovely restaurant. The hot tub is very large and was a wonderful addition. The main reason we booked! As well as outdoor seating that we were able to use in the April sunshine!!! The bathroom with a BATH was superb and additional en-suite just made everything more comfortable for us. Your selection of games and especially dvds went down so well. The van was fully equipped and we really enjoyed the stay. Nearest shop/supermarket is Tesco’s approximately 10 minute drive which is useful and the drive to beaches including Morecambe was only short which meant getting out and enjoying the sea air was easy. There was a manual for everything in the van plus taxi numbers, places to visit etc which meant not having to do the leg work yourself. You can’t wish for more from a booking. Peaceful and (almost) perfect.

  • "Absolutely superb accommodation and so well equipped."

    Possibly the best holiday my wife and I have had in 36 years together. We intend to rebook for a fortnight in next June. Keep the hot tub hot ! Only suggestion I could suggest, as a non-driver without our own transport, is that the information folder provided in the property could include local Taxi numbers, (Carnforth) and a rough map of where to get on the 555 bus service. We found that out for ourselves eventually but knowing it from the word go would have made the first day easier..

Resting upon South Lakeland Leisure Village in Warton, Lancashire, is Waterside Lodge, a single-storey dwelling.

The picturesque hamlet of Tewitfield is settled in Lancashire beside the Lancashire Canal. Stroll along the Tewitfield Canal Locks for scenic views of the countryside, ideal for avid walkers and cyclists. The village is home to a marina, where you will find barges and boats and across the road is an excellent farm shop selling local produce and hosting crafts. You can enjoy dining at a County Inn, Longlands Hotel with a restaurant serving traditional meals. Have some family fun at Crazy Golf @ Greenlands and enjoy exploring the surrounding area, with Pike Lake for a peaceful afternoon and Cinderbarrow Miniature Railway slightly further afield. Jump in the car and visit the market town of Carnforth for a wide selection eateries and specialty shops for a souvenir to remember your holiday by.
