  • "Perfect Christmas holiday in the most beautiful, cosy cottage, with everything we needed."

Lots of thoughtful extra's including flowers, wine etc. The "host" Simon (who was very friendly and helpful), welcomed us and had the fire alight, such a nice touch. The cottage was spotless and sheets, towels etc. all top quality. We can not find fault with anything.

  • "We had a wonderful week in West View cottage."

It was very warm and cosy - even in late November. The area is wonderful to explore with the Southern Lakes, Morcambe Bay and the Crook of Lune all close by. The cottage is beautifully decorated - a pleasure to come home to every day. Simon was very helpful.

  • "This is the second time we have stayed here and the second time we have thoroughly enjoyed it."

Simon is a great host and nothing is too much trouble. The fresh flowers were lovely and a very thoughtful touch, along with provisions for the start of our stay. The cottage had everything we needed for a home from home (and more) experience. Little Frank is adorable and adds to the visit with his friendly greeting and constant tail wagging! The property is in a very good location and extremely quiet and peaceful. Excellent!

  • "The pictures of this cottage are beautiful, but they still don't do it justice!"

The owners have really gone for creating high-end, luxury accommodation for two. The cottage is so gorgeous that it was genuinely hard to drag ourselves out for the day! The big bedroom is like a luxurious hotel suite with the most astonishing bathroom - huge freestanding tub and a separate waterfall shower. Huge comfy bed with wonderful bedding and towels. Downstairs you have a cosy lounge with a woodburner as well as a stunning dining room that will make your egg on toast feel like you're eating in a fancy restaurant. The kitchen has everything you need to make a proper dinner (or you could just nip up the excellent farm shop that is five minutes up the road and order a wood fired pizza...) and both the kitchen and dining room lead out to a seating area in a private garden. The cottage has beautifully maintained private gardens front and back, and there's even an orchard out the back. The village itself is quiet with no noisy through traffic, and a short drive away you have a lively village pub and a well stocked farm shop. On top of all this you have unobtrusive yet responsive owners who go out of their way to make your holiday special (thank you, hope you're reading this!) We hadn't had a holiday for a couple of years and (like most of us) we had worries about what a holiday rental would be like but this holiday as absolutely perfect. Thank you!

The pictures really don’t do it justice. It’s a beautiful property with stunning views all around, set in a really peaceful location. The master bedroom suite is the jewel in the crown of this cottage. It was difficult to leave the comfiest bed I have ever slept in and the roll top bath was a lovely place to relax and unwind. The property owner (Simon) was really helpful and the welcome hamper of chocolates, milk, beers and water was a lovely touch. Special mention to Frank too
