Very spacious. Everything was clean and tidy. The owners were very kind and helpful. Had a minor issue (no fault of the property owners but they sorted it straight away) which if anything shows how attentive they are. Location is fabulous. All your local commodities are not more than 2 miles away. Didn't get to try any of the pubs as we were snowed in which was truly magical and so very picturesque. Hot tub is huge! Wish we could have just stayed longer 11/10 - Family of 6 adults 1 child 1 ...

“We had a super time.”
The owners were very welcoming and helpful. The property was large and comfortable.
We have just spent a beautiful weekend with our children and our friends and their children the week before Christmas. The cottage is wonderfully presented and when we arrived there was a bottle of wine, box of chocolates and bread, milk, sugar and coffee which I thought was a lovely touch. The cottage has underfloor heating throughout so is cosy and there are televisions and WiFi throughout (essential for children!). The girls loved going in the hot tub as well. Overall a fantastic weekend break and very reasonably priced. Such a shame that they are no longer going to be renting it out as a holiday home as we would have returned every year! :-(
“Steve and Anne met us at the local Aldi to show us the way as it’s difficult to find.”
Lovely welcome with tea, sugar, biscuits and wine left on arrival. They showed us around the cottage and explained how to use the heating and hot tub. We had a fantastic stay. The cottage was big enough for 4 adults and 3 children with two comfortable living rooms. Such a shame they’re selling or we would have booked up again in a flash.
“We had a great weekend.”
The host thought of absolutely everything. Would definitely recommend.
“We had a fabulous weekend away and chilled is what we all needed.”
Beautiful cottage and the family where lovely and on hand if you needed anything. We have booked up for next year. The family are very proud of the cottage that they have and rent out. We didn’t want to come home
“Lovely cottage in a lovely location.”
Everything we required was on hand. The host even had the essentials plus more waiting for us when we arrived.
The views were outstanding and once up at the cottage every single thing was perfect. A great living space for a break, a total of 8 of us stayed there comfortably. Extremely clean accommodation and a perfect retreat. All in all fantastic!!
“Absolutely beautiful place.”
Total relaxation off the beaten track. The owners were lovely and very helpful.
“Equipped better than any other self catering cottage we have stayed In, family are so helpful aswell.”
“Great place in a beautiful location.”
We loved everything about Duck Pond Cottage and made full use of all it's charm. Just one small piece of feedback there was limited hot water when we all wanted a shower in the mornings and after we returned from a wet and muddy event before jumping on the hot tub. It did not detract in any way from a great place you have.
Just returned from a short break with our son adam and his family, what a wonderful home this is with spectacular views, you feel so comfortable and cosy and it has everything you could possibly need, the hot tub is super and bedrooms are so comfortable and beautiful ensuites, kitchen is equipped with everything you could possibly need , we had so much fun in this lovely place, thankyou so much to the owners for providing such excellant accomodation
“The cottage was clean and extremely well equipped.”
It was a real home from home. The setting was fantastic and the whole family had a peaceful and relaxing holiday.
“The facilities ( which included a hot tub), equipment and standard of comfort in this cottage were exceptional.”
The owners were on hand to deal with any problems and could not have been more helpful. We were lucky with the weather so we had the benefit of magnificent views from the cottage.
“Really enjoyed our stay, the owners made us feel very welcome and at home.”
The house was really lovely and very well equipped for our stay. The location is right in beautiful countryside but within a good distance to ample things to do! Would really recommend.
“Stunning views, beautiful cottage, fabulous hot tub, lovely helpful host.”
“Fantastic weekend away!”
You couldn’t ask for friendlier hosts and the house is beautiful with all the home comforts & more. Would love to go back.
Lovely cottage has everything you could possibly need for a snowy weekend in February. Nothing about this cottage says holiday rental, you feel like you are at home, it is absolutely perfect. Fully equipped kitchen there is nothing that hasn't been thought of. WiFi works great all through the house and has all your entertainment needs met, from Netflix to books and games and not forgetting the hot tub which was ready and bubbling for us when we arrived, would defiantly come back again in the summer weather to make the most of the beautiful surroundings.
“We had a great weekend snowed in but Ann and Steve ensured we were looked after and taken up to the farm as my car would not have made it.”
Steve took us back down to the town so we could all go out for the day. The cottage was very homely and comfortable we all enjoyed the hot tub for several hours even though we had lots of snow. Very cosy and warm. All facilities were excellent Ann and Steve could not have done anymore for us. We will certainly be booking a girls weekend in the summer. Thank you Ann and Steve. Linda and the girls.
“We had a fabulous time.”
The cottage was clean and well equipped. It had a traditional farmhouse feel, whilst having all the mod cons you could wish for. The little welcome treats were very tasty and very much appreciated too. We ate, we slept, we used the hot tub. Everything we needed for an incredibly relaxing weekend. We had intended to go into Skipton one day, but the pull of the relaxing environment meant we never left the place!! Our kids (6 and 9) were never bored between using the hot tub, playing games and watching the films available on Netflix. They loved the "hiding place" on the mezzanine level too. We will definitely be back. Thank you for a wonderful weekend :)
“We had a fantastic stay at the barn for new year!”
We were so comfortable that we really didn’t want to leave. It was very cosy, clean and felt very Christmassy with the special touches that had been added to the barn. The hot tub was great, no better way to relax! Would highly recommend Duck Pond Barn for a luxurious and relaxing family break.
“We had a wonderful week at Duck Pond Barn - the house is beautiful and such a lovely place to relax with amazing views of the surrounding countryside.”
We did a lovely walk over the hills from the house and it is a great location for visiting the area. We really liked the fact that it was a bit of a drive off the main road to get up high to the house. The barn is very cosy and comfortable and well equipped. The hot tub was an added bonus which we enjoyed, especially in the evening with its fairy lights. Our hosts were lovely and came to meet us to show us the way up to the house in the dark and were on hand for any questions. We would definitely like to return!
