The property

Street Farm Cottages sits in a spectacular private setting 2 miles from Ravenstonedale midway between Sedbergh and Kirkby Stephen.

With origins dating back to the 16th century the main Farmhouse and adjoining stone barns have been transformed into a high-end self-catering complex offering contemporary stylish interiors, a bespoke eco heating system, superfast broadband and a Spa Room.

At the heart of this fabulous complex is The Farmhouse which boasts a 35ft kitchen/living area with a high-end bespoke kitchen, including a huge granite-surface island and limestone flooring.

The feature wall-to-wall windows offer fabulous views across the hillside with patio doors leading out onto a large terrace, ideal for BBQ’s and outdoor entertaining.

Adjoining the Farmhouse are 4 cottages beautifully converted from former stone barns which offer additional living spaces, ideal for large groups.

The 5 properties adjoin one another in a delightful courtyard setting with spectacular uninterrupted views across the valley and enclosed walled gardens to the rear.

Within the complex there are 4 ground floor bedrooms with level access, one ground floor wet room and 3 ground floor shower rooms.

Most of the bedrooms offer en-suite facilities and there are a number of family bedrooms which make it ideal for bringing your little ones along. A large boot room provides excellent drying facilities for outdoor gear. The properties are all fabulously furnished with a wonderful blend of contemporary interiors and original features, which include oak trusses, flagged floors and exposed stone walls.

The main kitchen has been designed specifically for large groups wishing to cater for themselves with a double oven, large refrigeration and freezer storage, ample food preparation areas and a dishwasher. Heating and hot water are powered by a state of the art bio-mass heating system and, should you need even more heat, logs are provided for the wood burning stoves. Superfast broadband is available throughout. Pubs, catering and places to visit Party planning is made very simple with help from the owners who can provide details and recommendations for private catering, local pubs and a choice of activity providers.

There is an excellent choice of inns close by which offer an excellent food menu and real ale. The opportunities for walking, cycling and horse-riding are superb with an extensive off-road bridleway network.

Street Farm is situated just a 5 minute walk from the Pennine Bridleway National Trail which winds its way to the top of Wild Boar Fell, a peak of over 2000ft, from where you can enjoy views across Lakeland Fells and visit a secret lake.

Free route maps are provided by the owners, covering a variety of routes in the Howgills, Nine Standards and Great Asby Nature Reserve.
