The apartment was lovely but the noise from the apartment above made it so that it wasn't quite as a relaxing holiday as we'd have wanted. We could hear the hot tub, foot fall, chairs moving, the TV and the other guests talking from the apartment above. The apartment was lovely but the noise from the apartment above made it so that it wasn't quite as a relaxing holiday as we'd have wanted. We could hear the hot tub, foot fall, chairs moving, the TV and the other guests talking from the apartment above. It would have also been good to have the court yard out the back of the apartment fenced off so dogs could be let outside without worrying about them wandering off. The location was great for those staying in South Lakes with the Old Man of Coniston on the door step. The pub that the apartment is associated with was a real gem. The staff were super friendly and helpful, made us and our dog feel welcome. The food was good and they serve a cracking pint with a lovely roaring fire. It was really good to see the locals from Torver supporting their local too. I reckon if they could sort out the noise issue from the apartment from the above and fence off the court yard then it would be a cracker for those wanting to stay in the South Lakes with their dog.
