  • "The apartment is beautiful, spotless and so comfortable."

The owner made sure we had everything we needed and more, even leaving little treats for our dog. Our own welcome basket was full of lovely bread, jams tea coffee etc. Thank you Andra. All the facilities are very high spec. The only thing we had difficulty finding was the outside bin. That would be my only suggestion for improvement. It as ideal place to explore the busy lakes but to also enjoy Seascale itself, a lovely beach ideal for dog walks. Plenty of choice of eating places.

  • "The photographs on the site don't really to it justice."

The quality of the fixtures and fittings are really good. The accommodation is really nice. Plenty of parking places. The building its self does look a little run down but don't judge a book by its cover. The main bedroom is huge and well presented. The bathroom is also huge with copious amounts of hot water. I was totally clean and well maintained. Flushing the toilet is a bit quirky and took a bit of getting used to. You are only 50 yards from the beach and a railway line has to be crossed in order to get to the beach which is lovely and clean. You can either walk under or over the railway line. You will hear a slight noise from the trains but its not very intrusive. Just something to consider, Sellafield nuclear site is only 1 mile away. When you do some research on the site, your eyes open wide. It is reported to be the most dangerous place in Europe due to the fact they recycle nuclear waste and some of the older buildings are leaking and they are currently cleaning up the site. They have had a few accidents in the past. But put this out of your mind. Thd beaches are nice and remarkable quiet. I would certainly return. Recommended.

  • "We had a really enjoyable holiday at Burnett View, the property itself has everything you could want and more, the owner has obviously taken great care when deciding on fixtures and fittings, it's very luxurious!"

The location close to sea was ideal with some lovely sunsets! However not much to do in Seascale itself.

  • "Beautiful property , very high standard of decoration and thoughtful touches such as welcome pack etc."

One suggestion for future guests, take slippers, the tiled floor in the hall way is a bit chilly ! But that is a minor point. Would definitely return and recommend.

  • "We had a wonderful time and the weather was kind to us too."

Beds very comfy and linen/towels all appeared brand new, as too did everything else actually. Took us a while to find the dustbin but we got there and the only criticism, if there had to be one, was the automatic light in the hallway was a bit of a turnoff (pardon the pun) with a two year old running around. He thought it was a ghost. All in all an excellent stay with perfect views. And thank you for the personal messages. Many thanks.

Beds were comfy, kitchen well equipped with everything you could think of needing… and more. There was a very generous welcome basket of goodies and the owner was great with communication. A great base for touring the Lakes. Thank you for a wonderful week.

  • "An excellently equipped property and very well presented."

Spacious and functional and our two dogs were made to feel welcome and had a good time on the beach, 100 yards away. Good base for Lake District though very little to see and do in Seascale. Interior of property is decorated to a high standard and would certainly return there.

Luxurious and relaxing at the same time. It was straight on the beach and we enjoyed walking there everyday. We are planning our next trip there already. Deborah and Steve Edwards.

Seascale is a small attractive seaside resort which became popular as a holiday destination for the Victorians with the introduction of the Furness Railway in the 1850s. Seascale still has coastal rail links today and is rich in history, retaining much of its Victorian charm. The nearby village of Ravenglass is home to the famous Ravenglass to Eskdale Railway, a narrow gauge steam railway known as "L’al Ratty" which runs daily from the station through some of the finest and most scenic country in Britain. Just minutes from Ravenglass and easily accessible by a new cycle track is Muncaster Castle, with magnificent gardens and views up to Scafell Pike, and home of the World Owl Trust. This great location boasts a skyline dominated by towering peaks including Scafell - England's highest peak, whilst the nearby stunning valleys of Eskdale, Wasdale and Dunnerdale provide breathtaking scenery to be enjoyed throughout the year. A great location for exploring both the coast and the mountains.
