  • "The Lodge was beautiful very clean and comfortable."

I would certainly recommend this property to anyone. The only thing missing was a coffee table. What are you supposed to do if you have a drink in your hand when you sit down? Also lack of Christmas decorations but we took our own.

  • "We really enjoyed our stay."

It was lovely and peaceful, great spot on the park with good views. It was lovely and clean, cosy and well equipped Single beds not as comfy as the really comfy double. The welcome pack was lovely and thoughtful, thank you. Plenty of towels provided. Great place to explore the area from. Missed the Wi-Fi that was in the description when we booked but we were told well before our visit it wouldn’t be available, so was aware, but would have been nice to have, especially when the nights draw in for more entertainment options the majority of people are used to. Mobile signal was good though. The water went off one morning, as we were leaving for a day out it wasn’t a really a problem and was back on by the time we returned. The on site pub was good to visit, very limited menu but food was hot and promptly served. Park was tidy and well kept. We would love to visit again.

  • "Bowland fell park is a very neat and well maintained site, it's quiet and the views are amazing."

The holiday lodge was very spacious, everything was in good working order and of good quality. Extremely clean with attention to detail. The outside verandah was excellent with quality outdoor furniture and had outside lights as well. This holiday lodge is very well positioned for open view across the site to the fields opposite. A wonderful week here.

About the location

LONG PRESTON

Settle 4 miles; Malham 4 miles; Skipton 12 miles.

Long Preston is an attractive Yorkshire Dales village in Ribblesdale, twelve miles from Skipton (popularly known as the 'Gateway to the Dales'), four miles from Settle. To the north, the landscape rises to the fells, moors and picturesque valleys of the Dales; to the south are the wetlands of the Ribble Valley which, in turn, sweep upward to the magnificent wilderness of Bowland. The village benefits from several large, tree lined, village greens, with footpaths leading direct to the surrounding hills, and it also boasts two excellent pubs with first rate cuisine. The railway station on the edge of the village provides access to the famous Settle-Carlisle Railway line which crosses some of the most beautiful and inspiring upland scenery in the country. Nearby Settle is a bustling market town with a weekly market, the centre being dominated by the Shambles, an historic 3-storey building with shops on two levels and houses above, and the Town Hall. There is a good selection of restaurants and pubs and a public swimming pool.
