    “The receptionist (Vicki) was very helpful however the accomadtion comapred with other Sykes Holidays was poor, We were informed that we could not arrive until 1 hour later than advised due to additional time required to meet Covid-19 requirements (which we could understand) however on arrival we had to coment on the bedroom in pafrticularly was not as clean as we would expect (cobwebs and dust) The ceiling fan vent in the Shower room was in a disgusting condition.”

WE had difficulty in operating the cooker and the manuals we found were not the manuals for the elecgtrical appliances within the apartment which meant that we had to buy an evening meal at the Pub which we were not planning for or expecting. The following day we were told that under the Covid-19 rules they had been told to remove all minformation anuals and holiday leaflets. We had to even go to the site shop and BUY Toilet Rolls Our opion is that the builing should be shut down and given a DEEP CLEAN

The property

Eldroth occupies the ground floor of a wonderfully converted barn one mile from the pretty village of Tosside in North Yorkshire.

The on-site facilities include the 17th century Crowtrees Inn and a restaurant with live entertainment, along with an indoor heated pool and a games room to keep you busy on the rainy days.

Take advantage of the pony trekking, golf, caving and trout fishing available in the immediate area.

Nature trails and cycle ways are available at Gisburn Forest, whilst the Yorkshire Dales and Bowland Fells offer tremendous walking and hill-climbing.

You can also visit the White Scar Caves, the Settle-Carlisle Railway, the Ribblehead Viaduct, Malham Cove and Tarn and Bolton Abbey along with much, much more.

Should you wish to explore craft and gift shops, the historic market towns of Settle, Clitheroe and Skipton are all within easy access.

Tosside is a small, attractive Yorkshire Dales village set between the Forest of Bowland and the Yorkshire Dales, six miles from Settle, and fifteen miles from Skipton, popularly known as The Gateway to the Dales. Historically part of Yorkshire, following boundary changes in the 1970s, the village now straddles two counties, with the Eastern part of the village in Yorkshire, and the Western part in Lancashire! The village is home to a local pub, a church and a community centre. To the north, the landscape rises to the fells, moors and picturesque valleys of the Dales, while to the south are the wetlands of the Ribble Valley, which in turn, sweep upward to the magnificent wilderness of Bowland, a designated Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty.
