Modern refurb. Just a stones throw from the middle of settle. A throw blanket could have been handy for sitting on the sofa in the evening but that’s a minor point. The cottage was cosy. Great communication.

Thank you for the tea/coffee/milk and biscuits! Only one thing to point out - it would be very handy to have a mirror in the bathroom which has an inbuilt de mist action as the ventilation was not very efficient.

I enjoyed very much the sitting area in the room - especially the lovely yellow chair. Also well appreciated the garden chairs. Although it should have been nicer to have some flowers in the garden. The only remark I have is the mattress in the small bedroom, it was not very comfortable.

Spotlessly clean, beds comfy, lovely and quiet. Felt very at home. The only thing we could’ve done with was some hooks on the back of the door or somewhere on the wall as there was nowhere to hang things like dressing gowns or wet towels.

  • "Cottage comfortable and in good location, reasonably quiet."

I personally would have liked a few plastic or tin containers , ie once biscuits or cake open, or left over food, there was nothing to put anything into. Also another tea towel would be nice, plus an actual kitchen towel to use. I had to stand on a chair to use the kitchen roller blind, not sure if you can do anything to facilitate this. Only little things to what was an enjoyable holiday. Thank you.

Thanks Kathy for your feedback, I will put a couple of containers in the cottage, I usually also leave 2 tea towels for 7 nights stay this has been overlooked, the roller blind in the kitchen area I can’t do anything about as the sink is in front of this! I do however feel your score of 75 is very low as this didn’t affect your stay as you say little things & you had an enjoyable stay, low scores do affect our business. Kind regards Debra Property Owner

It was very clean. Had very comfortable beds. A really good, large walk in shower. It was great to relax in the cottage after a day out walking. It was lovely to arrive there for the first time and find tea, coffee, milk and biscuits. The railway station, shops, tea rooms, pubs, restaurants are all within a ten minute walk away, max. The cottage feels more like it is in a quiet village road, and it was really nice sitting in the court yard garden eating great fish and chips from the Shambles fish and chip shop, which is only a few minutes walk away, highly recommended. I would also highly recommend the Ingleton Water Fall trail if you are a reasonable walker, you can get to it by bus, I think it is about six miles away. Really hoping that we can come and stay in this cottage again next year. Tim

  • "The cottage was easy to find, and well positioned in Settle."

It is a cosy and comfy place to stay. Parking was easy on the street outside. and the nieghbours friendly. However, there was no tea-pot, or bread knife or sharp serated knives. So we had to buy our own, locally. The cost was approx £20 if you wish to re-imburse us? It was mentioned there was a "welcome pack" of biscuits, milk etc. There was, but it was pathetic. a 59p packet of poor quality biscuits, and 2 small sachets of UHT milk. The cottage had been recently renovated to a hig standard, but it lacked the personal touch of a few local pictures/prints for the walls. Overall , we very much enjoyed our stay there, but the above issues do need putting right, for future holiday makers. The cost of the week was very hig in comparison to other local cottages we found out, so if you pay top dollar, you should expect everything to be top notch, but it wasn't.

It is perfectly located right in the heart of Settle and there are lots of lovely walks and places to explore nearby. The cottage has been renovated to a very high standard and the interior is also really lovely; bright and welcoming whilst also retaining it's original charm! There were even some flowers in a vase on the table and a little welcome pack of tea, coffee and biscuits and a pint of milk in the fridge! The kitchen is well equipped if you want to cook and everything was spotlessly clean. The beds are very comfortable and the shower is really good too! My only regret is that we didn't stay longer!

From here, an open-plan living space invites you in to enjoy a lovely living area, featuring a TV, an electric woodburning-style stove, a plush sofa and an armchair so you can rest your feet and snuggle up in the evenings.

The open-plan continues into the kitchen and dining area where you will find dining seating for three guests and everything you need to cook up a storm on the induction hob and electric oven, as well as a handy washing machine and a storage cupboard containing a fridge/freezer for your needs throughout your stay.
