The property

Roundabout Cottage is a lovingly renovated and beautifully furnished semi-detached holiday cottage, nestled In the heart of the North Yorkshire market town of Settle, in the picturesque Yorkshire Dales National Park.

The property opens up to a first floor spacious living room, complete with comfy oatmeal sofas, solid oak flooring and a fabulous bay window, offering stunning views across the fells to the surrounding hills.

There is a fully equipped open-plan kitchen diner offering all that you need for your stay, which is completed with a country style dining area with seating for four people and exposed brick tile wall for that traditional feel.

There are two double bedrooms; one on the ground floor featuring original wooden beams and one large first floor double, as well as a separate family bathroom with rainfall shower and WC.

The property has a fully enclosed small outdoor area with a picnic bench, perfect for alfresco dining on those warm summer evenings.

Roundabout Cottage is nestled in the charming market town of Settle, just a stone's throw away from the town's market square with an abundance of pubs, shops and restaurants.

Settle is the perfect destination for outdoor enthusiasts, with immediate access to a plethora of local attractions, trails and walks.

Why not take a trip to Gordale and discover the hidden gorge of Gordale Scar, a famous natural feature with waterfalls and impressive limestone cliffs?

For the more adventurous, tackle the famous Three Peaks of Whernside, Ingleborough, and Pen-y-ghent, which are perfect for the avid walker and are all only a short drive away.

The kids are also well catered to; look to Settle Treasure Hunt Trail, where you get to select a pirate name and join the hunt for buried loot.

Locally, Settle hosts a traditional market every Tuesday, which is home to a variety of stalls offering fresh fruit and vegetables, local crafts and baked goods.

The bustling market town of Settle lies at the south west rim of the Yorkshire Dales National Park, nestled beside the largest outcrop of limestone in Britain - a region of scars, cliffs, caves and potholes - amongst some of the most picturesque scenery in North Yorkshire.

Tuesday is market day in Settle, when the square is filled with stalls offering a wide variety of crafts and goods.

The market place is surrounded by local businesses, the centre being dominated by The Shambles, an historic three storey building with shops on two levels and houses above, and the Town Hall.

There is a good selection of restaurants and pubs and a public swimming pool.

The Victoria Hall has entertainment and other activities such as folk nights throughout the year.

The famous Settle-Carlisle Railway crosses some of the most beautiful and inspiring upland scenery in the country.

Natural attractions such as Malham Cove and Gordale Scar are within easy reach, as are the nearby Dales towns of Skipton and Malham.

Settle is in the midst of excellent walking country and is a good base for touring the Dales, the Lake District and the Forest of Bowland..
