  • "Tower Cottage is so beautiful."

The house is completely equipped with the basic utilities. The sceneries are what you need for during the holiday. My kids enjoy the stay. The minus point only we hope the heater can be ON earlier, it was a bit chilly in the afternoon. Other than that everything just perfect!

I wish we could have stayed longer. The lovely couple I spoke to are amazing and thoughtful and the place and views are amazing. Honestly wish there were more places and people around. We will be back again, hopefully for longer stay.

  • "Lovely cottage in a good location for visiting area, with local shops at Millom and we definitely recommend the Chinese take away listed in the cottage information book."

The owners were friendly and helpful and everything we needed was there, despite the covid limitations. The garden it was lovely and peaceful to sit out in with the sheep in the field next door. The only slight issue was that my mother and sister found the single bed mattresses saggy and not very comfortable, so maybe time for new ones? Even so I would recommend the cottage, we had a fab time.

  • "We have just returned home after spending a week at Tower Cottage and it has been superb."

The owners were on hand if needed and were extremely accomodating. The views are amazing and our kids loved watching the train at the end of the drive. The only downside was that the cottage would benefit from a tumble dryer, simply for the days when washing couldn't be dried outside. We loved every minute of our stay and will definitely stay there again.

  • "We had a great week at Tower Cottage."

It is spacious, spotlessly clean and comfortable with lovely views. Everything you need is provided and milk is in the fridge with tea and coffee in the cupboard. The location is within easy reach of the coast and the lower lakes and even though it was out of season we found plenty of things to do. We recommend The King Billy Restaurant nearby, the food was really good and the chef is quite a character! If you are thinking of booking do not hesitate.

The welcome pack of milk, tea, coffee and biscuits (and the offer of some fresh eggs) was a nice touch. The cottage was warm and well equipped - a real 'home from home'. The views of the Lakeland fells from the cottage window were stunning.

  • "The cottage is split on two levels after entering you go downstairs to the living area, kitchen with exit to the patio which must be great in the warmer weather, another exit in the dining area ."

On the landing there is another exit to a private garden. We were lucky with the winter weather the local beach was amazing and the steam train was enjoyable.

We would recommend anyone to take a holiday to the cottage. The children were excited about the games that were on offer and loved the donkey. The owners were very friendly (but in the background) so that we could get on with anything we wished to do without feeling that we were being watched. Clean, well stocked with various items if we needed them even biscuits,milk,tea/coffee on arrival - very thoughtful. Thank you for our lovely stay.
