The property

Middleton-in-Teesdale 1 mile.

An outstanding, three-storey wing of a magnificent country house set in two acres of grounds on the edge of the small hamlet of Snaisgill, and one mile from Middleton-in-Teesdale.

This beautiful cottage is full of character, having been skilfully converted by the current owners to produce a first-class country hideaway.

With spectacular views in every direction, a luxurious hot tub, a private tennis court and fabulous walks from the doorstep, this is a perfect opportunity to get away from it all and enjoy a week in the great outdoors and treat oneself to those well deserved luxuries.

The cottage features a first floor living area with a stylish sitting room with a cosy woodburning stove, and is a great place to sit and relax and take in the long distance views afforded by this elevated position.

The adjoining dining room and kitchen provide excellent self-catering facilities and there is a useful utility area on the ground floor, which provides a good boot and equipment store.

The three second floor bedrooms provide excellent flexibility with a luxurious super king-size bed, a delightful king-size double and a twin bedroom all served by a pretty bathroom and a separate cloakroom.

Stylish throughout, the property boasts those little extras that all seamlessly combine to ensure that guests have a memorable holiday.

The hot tub is positioned to take advantage of the spectacular views and thus is a great spot to sit after a long demanding walk or a couple of sets on the tennis court.

Surrounded by the wonderful Teesdale, an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, the area is covered in walking trails and there are good cycling opportunities throughout the area on quiet, unspoilt country lanes.

Middleton-in-Teesdale is a short drive, with many local pubs, tea rooms and restaurants to choose from.

The nearby market town of Barnard Castle, with its cobbled streets and quaint lanes, attracts visitors all year round, while the Northern Dales are waiting to be discovered slightly further afield.
