  • "Cosy and comfortable shepherd's hut in lovely surroundings."

All essentials provided but no unnecessary clutter/gadgets. In private area with parking and looks out at garden/orchard. Very easy access to local walks (Dales Way is a 5-minute stroll from the hut) and short drive to other local villages. Friendly and welcoming owner. Perfect for a short retreat.

  • "We had a wonderful week at The Cabin."

Such a relaxing and beautiful setting with plenty of walks straight from the door. The Cabin itself is small but cleverly laid out with everything you need for a perfect "get away from it all" break. We will definitely be recommending it to our friends.

  • "The Cabin is compact, yet comfortable, with all I needed."

I had access to a field next door with seats on all sides so you could always sit in the sun (and it was a week of wall-to-wall sunshine!) or in the shade as needed. It's very peaceful, with the sound of birdsong all around. You can access walks and the Dales Way directly from the property, and a special shout out for the map provided, which is a custom print and covers the area brilliantly (you need two of the regular OS maps to cover the area!). A good property in a beautiful location - I could see myself returning...

The facilities are first rate and for people who like to walk, including the dog, the location is difficult to beat. We enjoyed the silence and the views. Thank you!

  • "What a fantastic property."

Loved every minute of my stay. The owner is lovely and very accommodating. Stayed with my Border Collie and he had loads of room to run around safely…with the owners dog. Plenty of great walks on the doorstep and a lovely pub.

  • "I had a wonderful stay in the Cabin."

It was spotlessly clean with lovely bedding & towels & the shower was amazing. The Cabin is extremely well equipped with everything you could possibly need. The Hosts are absolutely lovely & are right on hand if you need anything but left me to enjoy my stay - there was a bottle of milk in the fridge & biscuits in the cupboard - very thoughtful. The surrounding area is stunning & there is a map in the welcome / information pack. I am in love with this place - I felt totally relaxed & refreshed - I will definitely be booking again! Thank you! The cabin was spotlessly clean and everything inside was to an excellent standard. The location is wonderful, quiet but with immediate access to a variety of walks. We have already re-booked for later in the year.

Nestling at the foot of Buckden Pike, near the head of Upper Wharfedale, this idyllic village makes the perfect place from which to explore the wonderful scenery and pretty villages of this magnificent Dale. Much of Upper Wharfedale is National Trust owned – an indication of the beauty of its classic countryside, with dry-stone walls and barns, important flower-rich hay meadows and valleyside woodland.
