  • "Loved the cottage."

We have stayed in Sykes cottages for a few years now and Lazey cottage is the best by far. It was the most comfortable well equipted you could wish for i would highly recommend it to anyone. A special thanks to Elena for her help when i had a senior citizen moment with the WFI.

Thank you for this lovely feedback. We are delighted you enjoyed Lazey cottage. No worries about the prompting with the WIFI. We are always happy and willing to help our guests. Kind regards Elena and Gloria. Property Owner

  • "We stayed at Lazey Cottage from 9th March for one week."

The cottage was lovely and welcoming, it had everything we could have wished for, so well equipped. We had the outside area right on the waterside to walk our dog but the really nice long walks were over the sand dunes and beach which were minutes from Lazey Cottage. The cottage was lovely and very picturesque. The Sky and Netflix was a bonus and lovely on a rainy day. We visited the main lakes which were beautiful and a short/medium drive from the cottage. The only thing I would say is the beds were a little bit hard but that could be our preference. All in all a lovely stay, thank you Gloria and Elena.

Thank you for this lovely feedback. We are so delighted you enjoyed your stay in Lazey cottage, both out and about, and inside enjoying the home comforts on a Cumbrian rainy day! Kind regards Elena and Gloria Property Owner

The property was excellent in every way the kitchen had everything you could need the location was stunning the only thing we could fault was the double bed seemed to be damaged on one side and it did affect your sleep but the cottage was excellent and we are going to book again for June or July

Thank you for such lovely positive feedback. With regards to the bed, thank goodness you have informed us. When we have looked closely, it appears, as you say, that there is a fault. This is shocking as the bed was brand new. It is obviously not fit for purpose as the wood had split. We have today ordered a brand new bed which will be delivered this week. I was glad to be able to speak with you on the phone to discuss the problem and apologise, but we are happy you enjoyed your holiday none the less and also that you have said you want to return. Kind regards Gloria Property Owner

There's everything you could possibly need; it was warm and comfortable and the view over the Duddon was great. It was well situated for the few shops in Haverigg itself too.

The property is in a lovely location, shop and pub a stones throw and supermarket and fuel a mile away, it was just fantastic there. The owners text us a couple of times asking if all was well which was nice to know they were there if we needed them.

Walks from the door and a shop that sold everything we needed. Very quiet and although the weather wasn't kind to us we still got out and enjoyed our week. We will certainly stay again at Lazey Cottage.

Very comfortable and quaint. Only down side for us was there wasn’t a lot for teenagers to do, the Aqua park nearby was really the only local attraction. Can’t fault the cottage, great shower, washing machine, dishwasher, big fridge freezer, tv and DVD player, clean and tidy.
