  • "We spent 5 days over the Christmas holiday here."

The weather was truly awful other than one day which was a shame as we like to get out and about with our dog. It really didn’t matter though, as we could not of chose a more special retreat. The open fire here has probably never been so well used, as we hunkered down in a perfect cabin, set in the most beautiful of surroundings. We really did have a very memorable Christmas. Can not recommend highly enough.

Thank you for choosing to stay at Whitemoor Lodge and for your lovely feedback. We are delighted that you enjoyed your stay, despite the awful weather! Property Owner

  • "The pictures and descriptions don’t do this place justice."

It’s beautiful, it’s cosy, it has everything you could need but above all, it’s isolated, we didn’t see another person, no cars, absolutely nothing else, it’s exactly what we wanted after an intense year. You can go for lovely walks across their private land, watch the ducks across the reservoir, or just watch the reservoir from the comfort of the massive bath tub, then cosy down in front of the open fire. This is the best stay we have had in the UK.

Thank you so much for your fantastic feedback and for choosing to stay at Whitemoor Lodge. We are delighted you enjoyed your stay and the lodge and its surroundings provided everything you needed for a truly relaxing stay. We hope to see you again in the future! Property Owner

  • "I highly rated the property and surrounding area really enjoyable."

Everything was off a high standard. My only problem I had was if you wanted to use the open fire there was a charge of £10 per bucket of coal, for the price of the place I would of thought that would have come in with the price.other than that it was truly a beautiful place

Thank you for choosing to stay at Whitemoor Lodge, we are pleased you enjoyed your stay. Use of the open fire is optional, with an unlimited supply of firelighters, kindling, logs and coal. We consider a charge of £10 per night (not per bucket of coal) is not unreasonable, this is also made very clear in the property information page on the website. Property Owner

It needs to be seen to be believed. What they’ve built is a little piece of paradise here in England. It’s really secluded and the property owners give you lots of privacy. There’s a lovely walk around the reservoir and the views are beautiful. Would recommend to anyone

  • "Everything about Whitemoor Lodge is breathtaking."

Sitting right on the water's edge of a private reservoir, the quaint and beautiful lodge is the perfect escape from the stresses of everyday life. Kirsty and Simon have decorated the lodge to the highest standard, with every detail being carefully considered. If cooking is your thing, then the well equipped kitchen and impressive BBQ is perfect. If a good brew is your thing, then you won't be disappointed by the size of the brew mugs! If you're craving a refreshing shower after a long walk in the hills, the awesome power shower won't disappoint. But if you're one to have a long soak in a bubble bath, then the free standing bath overlooking the reservoir is absolute heaven! Day and night, the lodge is exquisite. During the day there's so much to see and explore and it's all right on your doorstep. For the nature lover, you can expect sheep, lamb, ducks, heron, swift, swallows, pheasants, trout and more. By night, the lodge grounds are decorated in subtle yet stunning twinkling lights. For humans and their four-legged friends alike, Whitemoor Lodge is perfect. It's fun and intriguing with lots to explore, but it's also the most peaceful and relaxing place you can possibly imagine. If ever a place was designed to restore the soul, then this was it.
