  • "Loved our stay, excellent property, location and enjoyed the peace and quiet and stunning views."

The towel rails didn’t come on during our stay and we had a battle with flies. The problem seemed to be with the upstairs narrow curtain and any blinds that hadn’t been used. Every day we must have killed at least 20. Shaking the curtain and vacuuming underneath the top of the blinds seemed to work. We hope this is useful for the owners/cleaners.

  • "Property is great and amazingly placed middle of the nature."

Well maintained and beautifully decorated. We enjoyed our stay and would like to visit again in future. Feedback is only for outdoor furniture. Furniture in balcony is old and dangerous , coffee table was completely end of life and one of my friends was very close to getting hurt as he leaned on the table for coffee. I have a video for your reference if you need. Please change those because people could get hurt.

  • "The property was very well furnished and comfortable."

The apartment is situated in an idyllic position with views of the countryside all around. Unfortunately the absence of hot water for most of the time, particularly for washing up few items and showering proved to be an obstacle. Even during the availability of hot water, it proved to be rather tepid. It’s not something you expect in a holiday home.

  • "Setting is great."

Quiet and pleasant countryside views. A few niggles though. Water for showering was cold, balcony furniture was too dirty to sit on, no instruction left on what to do with bedding/ towels on leaving. Only two of us in the apartment but if all three beds were occupied there were insufficient towels. There is no wardrobe or hanging space upstairs. The roof window didn’t work ( I assume batteries in remote needed replacements). Car parking spaces are extremely tight making it difficult to get out of the car if anyone is parked next to you.

  • "Thank You! We had a fantastic week in this beautiful location and were blessed with great weather."

The duplex apartment is really lovely. The living room is even better than the photos, with the sun streaming in through the large windows which also offer excellent views across the countryside. The balcony is large, is also a great place to enjoy the views and have breakfast, enjoying sunshine throughout the day with fabulous sunsets. The location is excellent for enjoying the attractions of the Yorkshire Dales and Kirkby Lonsdale is a hidden gem. We are looking forward to returning in the future. Highly recommended.

  • "Stayed over Easter, lovely place, we had to wash the outside furniture before we could enjoy the sunshine."

Could not use the hob would not ignite. Went over to Whoop Hall to enquire about pool times and cost (£15pp ridiculous price) the owner was abrupt and rude, place not very nice or clean, but the apartment was very nice.

Hi , sorry to hear that , I was there yesterday band the hob works fine but I have left the instructions so they are more easily found . The leisure centre has been taken over and I am trying to negotiate some better terms. The garden furniture has t o stay out all year but some covers may be a good idea thanks for your input Property Owner

About the location

KIRKBY LONSDALE

Kendal 9 miles.

An attractive market town, Kirkby Lonsdale is situated in the heart of the Lune Valley, midway between the Yorkshire Dales and the Lake District. The town was mentioned in the Domesday Book of 1086, and holds a 13th century Market Charter. Nowadays, Thursday is market day, a perfect opportunity for visitors to explore the variety of distinctive independent shops in the town, or the many 17th and 18th century buildings which still stand. The town was also a finalist for the High Street of the Year Award in 2016. This part of the Lune Valley was a favourite haunt of the artist Turner, and was made famous by Ruskin – his "view" of the valley is still spectacular. The medieval Devil’s Bridge spans the river, and the quiet country lanes are ideal for exploring by car, bike, or even horse. There are three golf courses nearby, as well as tennis, riding, fishing and a variety of riverside and country walks, making the area an ideal location for a break, whatever time of year. When voting Kirkby Lonsdale as the ‘Best Place to Live in The North West’ in 2019, The Sunday Times commented it is “An unbeatable Lake District location, bags of community spirit and one of the cleanest high streets in the country".
