  • "If this is shared with the owner, the first thing to say is THANK YOU, for providing much more than most places do, all the little extras were great."

The bed was so very comfy and we slept really well. Just everything was excellent, too much to say without writing an essay.

I had been concerned about the noise from the road and from the pub next door. But putting the sitting room at the back meant that we were oblivious of the road when in the property. The pub was never an issue.

  • "We had a lovely stay at Bytheway Cottage."

Sue was there to greet us on arrival and showed us around the cottage. The cottage has everything you need to make it a home from home, whether you go for long walks to enjoy this part of the country or you just want to cabin up and watch movies (large selection of DVD's available). The bed in the master bedroom is HUGE and extremely comfy. We cannot fault this cottage, yes it is on a busy main road but you get used to the road noise and it doesn't hinder a good nights rest. Having a pub literally next door is an added bonus! Highly recommended!

The owners are at hand if you need anything, but almost certain that you wont. Surrounding area is Beautiful, Ingleton Village has everything you need, The Pub next door is excellent with amazing food. The location is ideal for visiting the lakes and Yorkshire dales, with some fantastic walks from the Front door of the cottage. Thanks again Sue. Top class accommodation.

There is very little the owners could do to improve it. My porridge and cereal eating companions would have liked slightly larger, microwaveable cereal bowls and I would have quite liked an egg whisk but we are really scratching around for something to suggest here! The road is quite noisy so it is difficult to sleep when the windows are open but we appreciate this is not within the owner's control. All being well we would very much like to come back this time next year. Best wishes Jane Lithgow

Had a lovely week with my three boys and partner. The owners were very welcoming and took the time to meet us at the cottage and show us around. Scones, chocolates and milk on arrival were very much appreciated. My boys (aged 7, 5 and 3) thoroughly enjoyed playing the board games and watching the DVDs that were available. Well situated to reach lots of local attractions. We visited Ingleborough Caves, White Scar Caves and Malham Cove. We also did the train and boat combined ticked from Haverthwaite to Bowness which my boys loved. There was loads more that we would have loved to do but we ran out of time! Some people have commented on the road the house is situated on being very noisy, but we didn't find it a problem at all. There is parking available on the road outside the house or there is a parking space available in the pub next door. Wouldn't hesitate to book this cottage again and can't recommend it highly enough. Thanks again :)
