It had obviously been redone recently. The only slight niggles were - 1. Not enough hooks, especially in the kitchen 2. Not enough towels, again especially in the kitchen 3. No information specific to the house, just general Graythwaite Estate literature, so we weren’t sure what to do about the dustbin. 4. No information about the swimming pool. I had to ask specifically for the door code, having been alerted in a previous review.

The hot tub was a hit with all the family. The kitchen was well kitted out. The whole family really enjoyed it, the only problem was it went too quick. It would have been nice to have known what the code was to get into the estates swimming pool to use, a young girl told us who was also staying in the courtyard where the pool was, perhaps you could leave this sort of information in the house. The only other improvement I would recommend would be the drive up to the house, there is a drain that sticks up quite a bit. Other then that we had a fabulous holiday and definately would recommend it.

we expected it to be nearer to the swimming pool etc the site plan of the estate is a bit misleading .

The marketing doesn't really do justice to just how lovely this place is eg there is hardly any mention of the view which was spectacular. Our party had one or two very minor niggles - we were there for Christmas and therefore cooking a lot and we felt the fridge to be a little small - but on the whole it suited us perfectly. I have recommended it to others and would love to return with another large party perhaps in the summer months.

Also the sat nav directions didn't take us to the courtyard of this property as stated, it took us to another property on the graythwaite estate. we had to ask a local for directions. A tip about having a car should be involved in the write up for this property as it is in the middle off fields with no easy access to transport links, All in all a lovely property and maintained to a high standard.

Ulverston is a traditional market town built around a cobbled main street. It boasts a fine selection of independent shops, café’s, and pubs with open fires and real ales. There is an extensive selection of eating places to suit everyone, from fine dining to traditional pub food. Ulverston is also well known as a festival town, with events ranging from flags and walking to art and music festivals throughout the summer months and with the renowned Dickensian Christmas festival in late November. It is the birthplace of Stan Laurel and world record holder of the biggest foam pie fight in the world giving a glimpse into the fun community spirited little town. There are excellent walks around the town and beautiful countryside, with views of the southern Lake District and Morecambe Bay. Home to the deepest, widest and shortest canal, which makes for a lovely afternoon walk with a pub at the end and views over the bay.
