  • "It was a perfect place to explore the canal route and easy to get to and from Todmorden."

.... the property owner - Jane ... was welcoming and lovely... we wanted this short stay to be a stay cation as we only live 60 miles.away... but wanted to just *get away* and it was lovely... I have to add ... the bed in the main bedroom was super comfortable and allowed me to sleep way more than I usually do..... thank you

Thankyou for your positive comments. Glad you enjoyed your mini break and thankyou so much for leaving the apartment immaculately clean when you left. It was our pleasure to have you stay. Perfect guests. Property Owner

  • "The property is a good one, though visitors dhould be advised that care needs to be taken on the steps above and below."

We would have liked a teapot, an egg timer and a freezer compartment in the fridge, but otherwise we were very happy with the level of equipment, comfort and cleanliness. It would also help to advise visitors about the awkwardness of exiting in a car onto a busy road. Perhaps a mirror or mirrors opposite?

  • "Canal view is a compact cottage , very clean on arrival and adequate for a short stay the beds are comfortable but lounge furniture although moern are a bit low for the elderly to get up from although my daughter and her husband had no problems, again I and my wife had a few problems negotiating the outside steps from the car parking area ( we're both in our eighties)."

For younger people who like hill walking it is a great place for stretching the legs and the views are fantastic for miles around. To sum it up , it is a good cottage for a family with two young children but a little compact for four adults for more than a weekend..
