The property

This fabulous lodge is on an award-winning holiday park on the shores of Lake Windermere in the stunning Lake District National Park.

The accommodation at this Windermere lodge sits entirely across the ground floor, including two comfortable bedrooms with TVs, a family bathroom and an open plan living area with a well-equipped kitchen, dining area and sitting area.

French doors open onto decking that wraps around the lodge which features a fabulous hot tub, perfect for relaxing in after a long day out walking and a spiral staircase leads to the private roof terrace, offering lovely views across the park.

The site offers excellent facilities for guests with a heated indoor swimming pool, sauna and gym, as well as a restaurant with takeaway service, bar, children's play park and multi-use games area.

With its setting on the shores of Lake Windermere, there are lots of lovely walks around the area and less than half a mile away is Brockhole, the National Park Visitor Centre, which has extensive gardens and a tree-top adventure course to enjoy.

Bowness-on-Windermere is just five minutes’ drive away and has a variety of shops, cafes and restaurants to enjoy.

This lodge is an ideal base for everyone, being surrounded by beautiful scenery, with a host of activities ranging from kayaking to mountain biking, or for a quieter stay, the chance to simply sit back and relax.

White Cross Bay holiday park nestles on the shores of Lake Windermere, midway between Windermere and Ambleside, in the Lake District National Park.     There are bus stops a short walk from the site on both sides of the road should you wish to leave your car at the accommodation and use them. A very good service from Stagecoach buses, using free Wi-Fi and USB charging points.
