Meadowside is a delightful detached bungalow nestled in the quiet village of Troutbeck Bridge near Windermere, Cumbria.

This contemporary home-from-home provides a family of five with access to the Lake District National Park and Grizedale National Forest, along with a charming setting to unwind in.

Upon arriving at the property, take in those fabulous rural views before parking up in the ample off-road parking next to the whitewashed property.

A spacious open-plan room welcomes you as you enter the dwelling, with three plush, grey sofas to retire on with your group as you relish a movie night on the large wall-mounted Smart TV.

The kitchen is located nearby and showcases sleek fittings, along with a convenient breakfast bar that seats three and high quality appliances, from a ceramic hob to a washer/dryer.

After a day of lakeside activities, enjoy a well-earned rest in three stylish bedrooms, one being a fantastic king-size room with a curved window that boasts views of the garden's greenery, as well as silver and white accents; a zip/link can be found nearby that is able to be separated to suit your sleeping arrangements, and a single is also situated close-by.

The lovely tiled bathroom is a great spot to prep yourself for the day in with a handy bath with shower over, a cloakroom with a separate WC is next door, so you can relax in the bath with no time limits.

There is so much fun to be had in the twin towns of Bowness and Windermere, visit Windermere's Outdoor Centre to choose between a multitude of watersports and lakeside activities, before venturing into town to the Windermere Jetty Museum and the fascinating World of Beatrix Potter Attraction; why not embark on a boat trip from Osprey Boat House over to Mitchell Wyke Ferry Bay to find the ruins of the Calife Viewing Station?

North of the property is the town of Ambleside, a great place to go walking up the 70ft waterfall of Stock Ghyll Force, visit the quirky museum of Armitt Library and wander through the beautiful Stagshaw Gardens.

To the east of Meadowside is the market town of Kendal, try your hand at climbing at KendalWall, play a game of golf at the town's selection of driving ranges, and hike the mound up to the ruins of the once-glorious Kendal Castle.

The twin towns of Bowness and Windermere are both vibrant, fun-filled places set within the splendid scenery of the Lake District. Both towns provide a range of amenities, shops and restaurants to suit all tastes whilst Ambleside offers the additional attraction of a boat ride to Bowness, the Lakeside Aquarium and Beatrix Potter's 'Hill Top House' at Sawrey. Grizedale Forest Park is within easy driving distance and is home to a range of activities including many good walks, mountain biking and the 'Go Ape' adventure park. The region also boasts many National Trust properties as well as a variety of water sports for those who prefer a more adrenaline-fuelled trip.
