The little touch’s for example the extra towels for the hot tub sets this lodge apart from the rest. Have booked a return visit!

  • "Had a lovely stay at Robins Lodge and everything inside the lodge was perfect even better than we had expected."

Only one very minor criticism was the decking area needed a bit more of a clean up and there was a large puddle of water on the cover of the patio furniture in the seat well. This was not a major issue. I cleared the water and rearranged the cover so hopefully if it rains now it should be ok. All in all excellent plus a lovely gesture providing milk and bottle of wine

Thank you Gary for your lovely review. We’re delighted you enjoyed your stay at Robin Lodge and that the lodge exceeded your expectations. We also really appreciate your feedback regarding the decking area and patio furniture cover, and thank you for bringing it to our attention so thoughtfully. We’re pleased it didn’t impact your stay too much. It’s wonderful to hear you enjoyed the welcome touches of milk and wine too. We hope to welcome you back again in the future!” Property Owner

The lodge is spacious, clean and furnished to a high and modern standard throughout. It's well situated being a short drive to both Windermere and Ambleside. It also has a large external terrace area which we would have enjoyed if the weather had been better. The hot tub is well worth it on those days when it is too rainy to go walking!

Thank you so much for your lovely review, John. We are really pleased to hear that you had such a comfortable stay at Robin’s Lodge and that you enjoyed the space, cleanliness, and modern finish throughout — that means a lot to us. It’s great that you found the location convenient for both Windermere and Ambleside, and we’re glad you made the most of the hot tub, especially with the weather not being at its best! We would love to welcome you back again soon — hopefully next time with a bit more sunshine so you can enjoy the decking too. Best wishes Jan Property Owner

  • "Robins Lodge was beautiful and immaculately clean inside!"

Was very comfortable and location great for a nice walk into Ambleside and Windermere. Unfortunately we were wakened very early on two mornings (6.30am) with noise on the roof...it was so loud we actually thought someone was walking on the roof. Turns out it was crows tapping and pulling on tarpaulin which for whatever reason is on part of the cabin roof!!!

Hi Alastair, Thank you for your 5 star review and for your kind comments about Robins Lodge. We are delighted to hear you found the lodge beautiful, comfortable, and well located for exploring Ambleside and Windermere. We are sorry to hear that your stay was disturbed early on two mornings by noise from crows on the roof. While this is something outside of our control, we understand how it could impact your stay. We are looking into measures to help minimise this as much as possible for future guests. Thank you for bringing this to our attention, and we are pleased it didn’t take away from your overall experience. We hope to welcome you back again in the future. • "We've stayed at white cross bay before and Robins Lodge is the best by far for location!"

Having a toddler, we loved that it was so close to the park's facilities and play area. When we arrived the cabin was clean and smelt amazing as well as the hot tub being on and ready to use. One thing I would bring to future guest's attention is that we hadn't noticed that there wasn't a microwave. We managed without one but had to get a little creative sterilising bottles for our child. Also, wasn't a problem as we could go out and buy some but would have been nice to have been left with a few essentials such as washing up liquid, dishwasher tablets and kitchen foil. Another point to make, especially if you have a small child, it that there were pins sticking out of the curtains in the main living area so we had to higher then to avoid any injuries. Other than the above minor grumbles we had a great stay here and would recommend!

Hi Katy, Thank you so much for your lovely review. I’m delighted to hear you enjoyed your stay at Robins Lodge and found the location and hot tub to be just right for your family. I really appreciate your feedback about the microwave — we chose to provide a Ninja air fryer, but I completely understand how a microwave would have been useful, especially with a little one. I also apologise for the missing essentials such as washing-up liquid and dishwasher tablets; this must have been an oversight from the cleaning team, and I’m sorry for the inconvenience. If you had contacted me during your stay, I would have been more than happy to bring these over straight away. Your comments about the curtain pins are also very helpful — safety is a priority, and I’ll make sure this is rectified. Thank you again for choosing Robins Lodge — I’m so pleased you had a great stay overall, and I’d be delighted to welcome you back in the future. Warm regards Jan Property Owner

  • "We were very impressed on arrival with the outside of Robins Lodge from then on it only got better."

Inside was spotless and everything you could need had been catered for, it was quite clear that this was “not just a holiday rental” but somewhere that the owners took a great deal of pride in. A huge living area kitchen and dining combined, the kitchen was very well equipped. The lounge area was very comfortable with a large TV and the wi fi was a bonus. The main bedroom benefited from an en suite which was a generous size and there also was a separate toilet. The two bedrooms were tasteful with plenty storage room and very comfortable. I can’t finish without a mention of the hot tub which was a great addition to the lodge, and this was checked a couple of times during our stay by the maintenance guy. This is a very impressive lodge and a credit to Jan the owner, we would like to think that a return is imminent, I would recommend Robins Lodge 100%.

Thankyou so much for taking the time to write such a wonderful review. We are delighted to hear you enjoyed your stay at Robins Lodge and appreciated the care and pride we put in making it welcoming for our guests, it is our rural retreat in the Lakes and glad you enjoyed your stay. The hot tub is a must after a busy day exploring our beautiful countryside, we always get the hot tub checked and drained on our guest departure for a safety aspect. Your kind words and recommendation mean the world to us and we would be delighted to welcome you back anytime to Robins Lodge. Property Owner

  • "We chose to stay at Robin’s Lodge after comparing it to the options available through Parkdean Resorts, and we’re so glad we did — what a fantastic decision!"

This lodge is, without a doubt, the best we’ve stayed in. It’s new, modern, spacious, and comes fully equipped with everything you could need for a luxury family break. The private hot tub was a huge hit with the whole family. Inside, the lodge was very well thought out with beautiful, new furnishings, and the beds were so comfortable. Bath towels were provided for all 4 of us, including seperate bath towels for use with hot tub. There were also hand towels for the ensuite bathroom, and separate toilet. We cooked a few meals using the cooker and oven. There was also a full size fridge- freezer, Ninja air fryer, a dishwasher and washing machine. The location couldn’t have been better — just a short stroll to the main complex and site entrance, yet tucked away in a peaceful area. Also an ideal location to get to Keswick, Bowness of Windermere, and Ambleside by car. We didnt use the complex as we spent most of our time exploring Lake District. It was great to return to such a relaxing lodge and a very clean hot tub. A special shout-out to Jan, who stayed in contact with us to ensure we had a good stay. All in all, an outstanding and stunning lodge. We will definitely return and recommend to our family and friends. Ash and Manisha

The lodge is the best we have stayed in to date. Very modern and spacious with all amenities you need for a luxury family stay. There is a shower, a bath and hot tub which was great fun for all of the family. There is a large TV in the lounge area and TVs in both bedrooms. We used the cooker and ninja air fryer when eating in. The dishwasher was handy as well. The lodge is in the perfect location, very close to the play park, main building and site entrance but also in a very quiet spot. The park itself is lovely, it is quiet and tranquil with lots of trees and was kept in immaculate condition. We did not really use much of the on site facilities as we were exploring the lakes most days. Overall, a brilliant staycation in a fantastic lodge. Special mention to Jan who was very helpful and on hand to answer any questions we had on arrival. Would definitely return to this lodge. 5 stars
