  • "The house is in an ideal quiet location and so close to the beach the dogs/humans absolutely loved the woodland and beach."

The house was so well equipped had everything we needed and plenty of things that weren’t necessary for our short stay. Would definitely recommend to family and friends or visit again. Thank you for having us and making our stay so easy and relaxing.

  • "The property is fantastic and in such a stunning location, it exceeded my expectations."

I spent weeks looking for a property as a surprise for my dad’s birthday weekend and I’m so pleased I chose Priory View. We had a lovely walk to the beach, visited the Temple for meditation and explored the local area. The property is very dog friendly with a fully enclosed garden and walks on the doorstep, there are also plenty of pubs, cafes and shops in Ulverston that allow dogs. By far the best property we’ve stayed in and we loved it so much we’re going to book a longer stay next year.

  • "The description doesn’t do the cottage justice."

It’s a perfect home from home and we were able to totally relax and enjoy the area surrounding. We literally wanted for nothing during our stay, even the things we’d forgotten were already there. Whilst the weather was terrible we were able to cosy up and watch plenty of films. The cottage had fantastic heating and plenty of hot water so we indulged in late mornings and early nights, helped immensely by the comfortable beds! We’ll definitely be back and have already shared the details with our friends & family.

Wonderful location and spectacular views from priory cottage. Very useful information left regarding places of interest to visit and recommendations for eating out. The cottage was absolutely superb in every way. In spite of poor weather we enjoyed exploring local places of interest and would not hesitate if the opportunity came to return to Priory cottage.

  • "If anything the cottage description is understated."

Its in an excellent location with great views and very quiet and peaceful. The garden is fenced meaning that our small dog could go outside and be secure. The Kitchen is very well equipped with a range of glasses better than we have at home! The rooms are very comfortable. The owners left flowers, chocolates and biscuits which we very much appreciated, also their thoughtfulness, in leaving dog poo bags, blankets and towel. In addition there were products in the cupboard which you dont normally find in rented cottages, like firefighters, foils, washing up liquids, selection of dish clothes and towels, just to name a few; again very much appreciated. It is highly lightly that we will return.

What a wonderful idyllic place. One of the best houses we have stayed in ever and the walk, woods and beach right in the doorstep were fabulous. My kids just loved everything about it and the peace and relaxation it afforded whilst being a short drive to the Lakes hot attractions were the cherry on the cake.

The house itself is spacious and comfortable, but the views are lovely, it's very quier and peaceful, and there is lovely walking from the house in all directions. Ulverston has everything you would need, including a train service north west up the coast or east to Carnforth and beyond. A beautiful area and a great place to stay.

  • "A lovely cottage with everything we needed for a relaxing holiday."

The cottage is smart without you feeling you are treading on eggshells to avoid breaking anything. All the equipment and cleaning supplies needed for you to hit the ground running. The beds are super comfy and the rooms have plenty of storage space for your clothes. A five minute walk to the beach where you can access the Cumbria coastal path. A walk along the beach and up along brick kiln road into Ulverston takes about a hour , if you walk straight to the main road it takes about 45 minutes. You can walk to the Bay Horse Baycliffe using the coastal path, part brick kiln road, footpath through the fields and then a quiet road that leads to the Glaxo factory which then leads to the Bay Horse . You can also access the canal footpath at Baycliffe with a further mile walk into Ulverston. Pubs to recommend "the Farmers", "kings", "Stan Laurel" and "Rose and Crown.

The garden was perfect for the dogs - secure, although one of our spaniels learned that he could jump the fence on our last day! We had good weather so we were able to sit out and enjoy the views. The location was great. A short walk to the beach and nice walking from the house. Further afield were great walks around Cartmel and Grange over Sands. We didn't need to venture into the busier areas of the Lakes because the countryside was lovely close to home.
