There is a second sitting room enjoying another woodburner tucked under the alcove, and plush furnishings, cosily resting on sumptuous, grey carpet.

The ground floor also conveniently houses a cloakroom, study and utility.

Upstairs, the master bedroom offers a super king-size bed for you to retire to after a day spent climbing the summit of Scaffel Pike, as well as your very own dressing room and en-suite.

There is also another double with an en-suite, a king-size room and a triple for the kids to share.

They comfortably share a gleaming bathroom, well-appointed with plenty of space for you to get ready each morning and evening.

Outside, you can relax on the patio with a cooling drink on a warm summer's day and even dine alfresco if you wish.

The lawn is great for ball games and a luxurious hot tub awaits your arrival after an adventure along the famous 'Coast-to-Coast' walk at St. Bees.

You have several amenities to choose at Egremont, with its thriving market place, supermarkets and eateries.

Take a trip to Ennerdale Water, the westernmost lake and least visited in the lake District region.

About the location

ENNERDALE

Whitehaven 8 miles; Keswick 22 miles.

The tiny village of Ennerdale rests among the rolling hills and small farms of pretty Cumbrian countryside, on the edge of the Lake District National Park, just a few miles from the coast. The River Ehen runs through the village, with a stone bridge dividing Ennerdale into two halves. On the northern side are the village school and a pub, whilst the southern side is home to the parish church and a second pub. There are lovely footpaths trailing through the surrounding countryside, across fields and fells of the wild Ennerdale Valley and there are great opportunities for mountain biking, walking and horse riding. This area is rich in flora and fauna and there is also an outdoor pursuits centre at the top of the valley, available if you book in advance. Ambleside, Keswick and Windermere are all easily reached, whilst the many beautiful lakes of this stunning location can also be enjoyed.
