  • "Nice stay but the Wi Fi was awful and no phone signal, with the weather we had it was very scary without a phone."

Thank you for your valued feedback. The Wifi is complimentary from the park and so is out of our control, the phone signal is also out of our control and unfortunately is intermittent in this area. We apologies for any inconvenience caused. We are glad to note that you had a nice stay and we look forward to welcoming you back. Property Owner

Thank you for your feedback and your comments on the cleanliness. We have passed these across to the cleaner and we will keep a closer eye on the lodge in the future so it does not happen again. That said, we do hope it did not impact on your stay too much and you will return and visit us again in the future. Property Owner

  • "I wanted to do something 'different' for a special birthday, so booked a long weekend stay at Bramble Bank Lodge."

Friends and family stayed nearby. Bramble Bank was everything we had hoped for and more! Spotlessly clean, the traditional lodge had all the facilities needed for a comfortable stay, with the added bonus of thoughtful and handy finishing touches. The hot tub was simply perfect and in a private, secluded location not overlooked by neighbouring lodges. The tastefully decorated/furnished bedrooms were comfortable with plenty of storage space and the well equipped kitchen was more than adequate to prepare and cook am family meals. The outside decking area had plenty of seating and was secure enough to allow our little dog to sit out and watch the world go by. I cannot think of anything negative to say about Bramble Bank Lodge and it went towards making my special birthday weekend an excellent, happy and memorable one. • "The location was amazing with the hot tub being scheduled around the corner."

Very warm lodge with great facilities, such as cooker, microwave, dishwasher. Very comfortable bed and a dark bedroom which was great for as lye-in. Everywhere was clean and tidy we will definitely be back again. The book with walks in was really useful as we did the eastern tarn walk from the book. The only issues was from the previous guests who were responsible for cleaning the dishes before they left. When we reached for a pan and plates they had been put away dirty. The pan still had bean juice in it and the plates were dirty which we cleaned pretty quickly so it might be worth when cleaning to check all dishes have been cleaned or to put them through the dishwasher. As soon as we went in we could see how clean and tidy everything was. It was well decorated and nicely furnished. The heating had been left on for us so it was nice and cosy. It was like a home from home, all the kitchen utensils were there and a dvd player. Lovely towels. It really was great. The hot tub was fantastic and someone from the park came to check it each day which I thought was good. We loved the spot where we were situated. Close to reception/pool etc but tucked away so very private. The hot tub was also private as well. We could just see a bit of the lake from our window. It was only a few minutes drive to Windermere so that was good too. Overall we were very happy and would go again. Thank you What did you enjoy most about your stay? • "Our 3rd year staying at bramble bank."

Fantastic location. Ideal as a place to use for people like us who love the lake and walking around it. (Near to other beautiful areas as well). At the end of the day, there's nothing better than soaking your bones in the hot tub. Sets you up for the next day. There's a club house on site which we used for evening meals, (pub grub and a pint but no complaints from us), caters from families, also a swimming pool, which we didn't use. A fantastic midweek break was had by me and my partner, (she was talking about booking next year 2018, whilst we were still there). We tend to go in November because I can't think of anywhere more beautiful than the lakes in autumn/winter. (We did get flooding this year and lost a day to it but snuggled up in the cabin with a bottle of wine and the tv. We just changed the walks we had planned). What did you enjoy most about your stay? • "We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Bramble Lodge."

The lodge is well equipped and contains everything needed for a comfortable stay. There were a few tweaks needed, such as the strip on the inside cupboard, the discoloured seal on the bottom of the shower etc, but little things like this show the lodge is in need of a little update and perhaps a little refresh. However, this did not affect our enjoyment - I merely mention this as proactive feedback. The location is wonderful and we especially enjoyed the hot tub - just what is needed after a long hike. The books detailing local walks (and dog friendly pubs) were also well received - very thoughtful. The outside area is safe and great for dogs. Once the gate was shut, our Cockapoo could roam around on the decking without escaping. All in all, this lodge would be recommended and we would love to go back. It was peaceful and quiet and the nights spent in the hot tub where brilliant and relaxing. We where in easy distance to Ambleside and Windermere and only a short car journey from Coniston and Keswick. The lodge was immaculate and the Christmas decorations made it feel like home for the children. The location of the lodge on the sight was perfect. Not too far from the gates but it felt like a million miles from anywhere. Not overlooked and surrounded by trees. It was simply amazing. When we got home we looked to book to go back next year but unfortunately it had already been booked! Shows how popular it is! We are currently looking for another lodge on site to stay at. Lake District Holidays where great. They supplied us with all the information that we needed and in good time. They where only a phone call away if we had any questions or needed assistance. • "We stayed at Bramble Bank for three nights over half term with our four and six year old boys."

The lodge was lovely and cosy and had all we needed. Some self catering places we have stayed at have been lacking in some kitchen utensils but not the case here. The hot tub was a lovely bonus. The boys thought this was the highlight of the lodge. Also, the proximity to the leisure facilities. We would definitely recommend the lodge to other families with small children. • "The lodge is in an ideal location for Windermere and Ambleside."

The park is brilliant with great facilities and is very quiet and relaxing. The lodge is beautiful and one of the best we have ever stayed in. It had plenty of space and was very comfortable. The bed is lovely. It is also very well equipped. The gate on the decking makes it very easy for the dogs to be contained and we were able to relax on the decking with them. The hot tub is in a brilliant position and is very private. All in all this is a fantastic lodge and we had a brilliant holiday. What did you enjoy most about your stay? • "Excellent stay at Bramble Bank during our first visit to the Lake District."

The lodge is one of the best situated in the park, set back against the trees with a private hot tub to the side. Lodge was really well equipped and a good size for a couple, although I can imagine it might be a bit snug for a family of 4 on holiday. Everywhere was pristine, but some areas of the lodge are looking a tad tired (please get a more comfy sofa!). Lake District Lodge Holidays provided excellent customer service, although I can't speak for park staff as we didn't use the facilities beyond checking in on the first day. The only disappointment for us was regarding the park itself; we booked thinking we could take picturesque walks into Windermere and Ambleside. However the only way of walking to both was alongside the A road; not quite what we'd had in mind! To be fair, if you're prepared to use the park as a base and drive out to visit, the location is excellent (and very easy to find as well). We had a lovely relaxing few days, the hot tub being the highlight, and will definitely return in the future. What did you enjoy most about your stay? We wanted a quiet get away but ended up heading out the lodge as nothing to do there.. So spent money due to This. We didn't use the ameanaties the site offered, (that as our choice), so cannot comment on them. The cabin was well looked after and had a comfy feel about it. • "We decided to stay at bramble bank after looking around for quite some time online, we fell in love with it straight away."

When we arrived we opened the door and lodge was lovely and warm. We were close by to the nearby towns such as Windermere and convenience stores too. We had our Dalmatian with us who love the dog exercising area on sight along with all the nearby walls. The highlight of our stay was the hot tub, it was private and very easy to work. This lodge is grey value for money and would recommend it. We will definitely be coming back! What did you enjoy most about your stay? • "I'm always careful about recommending holidays to people as everyone has their own likes, dislikes, etc."

However our recent stay at Bramble Bank, has to be one of the best breaks we've ever had. We are both in our forties and so it was just the two of us and our dog. Although, I feel that anyone of any age could visit here and would enjoy. The site itself is immaculate, with well thought out and carefully positioned lodges. Bramble Bank is tucked away in a little cul-de-sac with parking for one car. The lodge was spotlessly clean and even better equipped than our house! A nice little welcome pack of biscuits and essentials to get you going too. Bedroom was spacious with good storage and although we found the mattress slightly hard, we understand that it is impossible to suit everybody's requirements. A second bedroom was also well equipped for those taking additional people. The kitchen/living area was also a good size and we spent evenings sitting on the sofa watching the sky change throughout the evening. The bathroom was great with a powerful electric shower. The veranda was maintained and very spacious with a good quality patio set. The hot-tub! What can I say about the hot-tub? Just that this really was one of the highlights for us. Bramble Bank is quite secluded and so we spent every evening in that tub, with a plastic glass of red wine! Absolutely loved it! It also had the bonus of having a huge parasol next to it, so even the rain didn't stop us from using it. The location is great for venturing out and we walked out of site and turned left, which takes you to a nice area with plenty going on if you have young children. We also drove out to Ulverston - Low Stott Park, for a lovely walk. We always bring our own food etc. However, we did use the local Spar (out of complex and turn right) and found their prices very reasonable. We will definitely be booking next year as not only is the site perfect, but the Lake District has such a lot to offer. Hope you enjoy it and much as we did! What did you enjoy most about your stay? Hot tub & peace. What one experience (e.g attraction, walk, day out) would you recommend for our future guests? Ulverston - Low Stott Park

  • "Arrived to a lovely cosy log cabin and was very impressed, The site its self was great and the location is fantastic."

The only problem we had was there was instructions to over ride the heating timer but we tired a few times to turn the heating on when it got cold and it wasn't working. Other than that we enjoyed our stay. It was war every night just a few parts of the day we would have liked to turn it on though we wasn't too cold. The cabin had every thing in it that we needed. A few of the pots & plates were very dirty with old food on them but we assume its how they have been put back by previous guests so it maybe an idea to check them before other guests have to use them. The kitchen had every thing you could need for a cosy weekend in we brought all our own food and cooked it there. The hot tub was amazing and always warm. The shower & bathroom was good and the whole cabin was very clean. The bed was very comfy as well. Thank you for a great stay I will definitely be coming back. What did you enjoy most about your stay? The peace and how quier are cabin was What one experience (e.g attraction, walk, day out) would you recommend for our future guests? • "Stayed here in Oct '15 and was gutted to find a lodge which looked like it needed Agy & Kim round."

There was a strong smell of greace which stayed for the whole week, the kitchen had a thin layer of greace over everything, the duvet cover on main bed had stains on it - certain it hadn't been cleaned since last guests and I could smell damp so lifted the mattress where smell seemed to be coming from to find a good cm of dust on bed frame. Not pleasant! All this said, when I complained, the manager arrived promptly, with the cleaner who admitted she had rushed this lodge due to somebody being off sick. We left the buildingcfor a couple of hours and returned to find brand new bedding and a sparkly clean lodge - it still smelled of greace but I guess that would be due to a previous guests cooking not the holiday company. We were given What did you enjoy most about your stay? Hot tub What one experience (e.g attraction, walk, day out) would you recommend for our future guests? Tree top trek

  • "I have stayed at the park a few times not really love how friendly the staff are, and just a short drive out to other places."

The lodge I felt was very basic to the others I have stayed in for the same price. The hot tub was disgusting and needed a good clean same as the kitchen. The other rooms didn't seem to bad on cleanliness. Location of the lodge was in a good area though. • "Lovely lodge with stunning views in a perfect location."

Very pet friendly. Very comfortable and warm. Pillows had human hairs on and also in the hot tub had hair and fluff but it didn't put me off overall we had a great time. The lodge supplied literally every item (crockery) you could possibly need. Only small problem which wasn't a problem for us but could be for others is the toilet is up a corner with a cupboard right in front and a radiator right next to it, very cramped. What did you enjoy most about your stay? The weather What one experience (e.g attraction, walk, day out) would you recommend for our future guests? • "Really enjoyed our break and the lodge met our expectations in every way I travelling from the north I would suggest going via Keswick as get to see the lovely countryside before you arrive and just as quick as leaving the motorway as in the instructions in the welcome email Visited all main towns along the way and do not visit the apple tea shop in Ambleside as staff at the counter are rude beyond belief Took the dog and enclosed decking meant she could wander in and out and we didn't have to worry What did you enjoy most about your stay?"

Most people who use a gym want to go early or late so as not to waste the day for others - All facilities closed until 10 am and not open at all in the evening. Gym was tiny - this was such a disappointment. I paid a lot of money for facilities none of us used. Feel cheated.. Regulations at the centre say all quiet after 10am so was not impressed that noisy entertainment went on till 11pm most nights. Dinner plates left unwashed in cupboard - needed washing pots and pans greasy and again needed washing, What did you enjoy most about your stay? the view and being with family What one experience (e.g attraction, walk, day out) would you recommend for our future guests? walks around Grasmere and boat trip

  • "Hi Overall this was a fantastic location with a superb property."

We were really happy with the lodge and the staff were friendly. Only criticism was that the reception staff seemed less friendly and definately treated us differently to Park Resort guests as we were private rental guests. We know this because we spent the first few days with some friends who had hired a caravan through them. They were provided with more site information and they were really flexible with entrance and departure times. However the lodge itself was amazing, my 11 year old son is still raving about how cool it was. The hot tub was immaculate but after a couple of days was looking a bit ropey. A guy came around to change the chlorine and spotted this and changed the water there and then. Thank you, excellent service and if we decide to have a week up there again we'll definately use Bramble Bank. What did you enjoy most about your stay? Only a 2 minute walk to the kids play area, the swimming pool and bar, and the lake in the opposite direction. The hot tub was a welcome luxury too! Pleased it had a large umbrella over to give some protection if needed. Beds very comfy. What did you enjoy most about your stay? Location lodge and hot tub What one experience (e.g attraction, walk, day out) would you recommend for our future guests? Go on some of the walks detailed in the lodge information pack

  • "We had a great time at Bramble Bank!"

The White Cross Bay holiday site is really very nice, overall a much higher standard than we had expected, we enjoyed a walk around the site and it's facilities and the site is located very centrally in the Lake District so all the things we wanted to do where only a short drive away. We stayed to do various hiking and walking trails around the Lake District and enjoy the nearby towns. The cabin was clean and well equipped, the hot tub was a welcome relief after a long day of walking and definitely made the stay worth the price. The cabin is equipped with everything we could have needed for a weekend stay, and we where really happy with how private the cabin is, especially the hot tub - it really has a prime position on the site and it feels like you're in the middle of the woodlands with the trees surrounding the tub. My only gripe was the 2 single beds where probably not suitable for adults as the slats fell out a few times. What did you enjoy most about your stay? The hot tub! What one experience (e.g attraction, walk, day out) would you recommend for our future guests? Any of the walks the Lake District has to offer
