Thank you for your comments. Since your stay, we have added a document into the lodge binder which will help address the internet connection issue. In regard to the comments made about the maintenance and housekeeping of the lodge, had you made us aware of the issues during your stay, the team would have attended to try and resolve them. Furthermore, the feedback will be passed on to the teams to ensure that our high standards continue to be met. Lake District Lodge Holidays and White Cross Bay Park are separate companies. White Cross Bay is an operational holiday park, and stated on the listing, maintenance is carried out at the park. This is outside of our control, and we were not made aware of any work going on during your stay, however had we been aware, we would have of course, let you know. We will pass on your words. Glenridding Lodge is not advertised as with a hot tub. We find that many of our guests who have stayed at Glenridding have thoroughly enjoyed their stay. Property Owner

No shower head in on suite? Cooking facilities. Chopping board moulded. Decking area dirty. Good notes. Lovely lodge and location. Thumbs-up from me. Just need better house keeping.

Hi James, Thanks for taking time out to provide this feedback, I'm very sorry that on this occasion we didn't meet our usual standards. You were indeed our first guest since the park reopened and is standard, the water is turned off during the closure period and fully drained down. We've recently changed providers for this - and also our housekeeping provider - so unfortunately you've just experienced us getting fully re-established ready for the new season. It sounds like you enjoyed the lodge and location and I'm very confident you'll enjoy our usual high quality customer experience if you'd like to give us another go. As a gesture of goodwill we have kept a note of your booking reference and assigned a £50 credit towards your next booking with us. Thanks once again for highlighting these issues and also for the more positive part of your review, we do hope to see you again. Gary (Owner) Property Owner

  • "We had a great week at the lodge, which was very nice and comfortable with all facilities provided."

The only minor issue we had was the shower head seemed loose in the en suite which didn’t work properly, which wasn’t a problem as we used the main bathroom. Also builders working on the lodge next door all week parking vans and diggers right outside the front of our balcony blocking all views ! Plus on 2 occasions they left nails from a nail gun on the gravel in front of my car which I had to move to save my tires ! and blocked me in ! Obviously that’s not bad feedback on the lodge or owner but probably more of a site maintenance issue. All in all we had a good holiday and my 2 children enjoyed it.

Hi Pete, thanks for your kind feedback it's much appreciated! I'm sorry to hear about the disruption you faced during your stay, this was due to a new lodge next door and all work was completed shortly after your visit. Thanks also for letting us know about the showerhead, we replaced that immediately as a result so you should find everything in good working order if you decide to stay with us again. Once again thanks for your kind review and glad your children enjoyed it too. Gary Property Owner

I'm very happy that I chose this one. It has pretty much everything that one could need for a comfortable stay and in general, the location itself was very quiet and relaxed. It's also very easy to find on what can be a bit of a challenging layout. I would certainly recommend it.

  • "We found Glenridding lodge to be well equipped and in good clean order, with a large decking area for outdoor eating etc."

However, the siting of the lodge and location was disappointing. The views were very limited and simply looking out at other wooden lodges. White Cross Bay is probably better suited to young family holidays, unless the plot is nearer the lake with Lakeland views. Our group of four adults, decided we wouldn’t stay again.

Apart from that, the lodge was great in a nice location.

Thank you for your feedback Daniel and kind words about the lodge and location. The WIFI is unfortunately down across the park for most lodges at the moment and we have been working with Parkdean and Lake District Lodge Holidays on both temporary and permanent solutions. It is set in lovely surroundings. There was plenty of crockery and cutlery etc. The fridge was very big which was good. Good value for money for 4 people.
