  • "The cleaning in some areas of the cottage wasn't up to the standard that I would expect however this didn't spoil our holiday and we would deffinately stay there again."

I would suggest providing more than one towel per person or advising that you may wish to bring your own towels. Ingle burrow cottage is a beautiful cottage and we had an amazing family, dog friendly holiday in the lakes, we will deffinately stay again in the future. Thankyou

Lovely comfortable cottage, pet friendly and child friendly too.

  • "The house is perfectly located for Windermere."

It’s large whilst being very cosy and had everything we needed for our family stay. For the price i would like to see better entertainment facilities. All of the dvds were scratched and unwatchable so when travelling with kids and stuck in on an evening it would have been nice to have something to watch. Also would have been nice for some fuel (wood / coal) for the fire.

Thank you for your feedback and enjoyed the location and your stay..I am currently in the cottage and have tried 50% of the childrens DVDs including Peter Rabbit filmed in Windermere and all the ones I tried worked very well and did not appear to be scratched. Moreover there is an extensive toy cupboard for all ages. You are more than welcome to take your own DVDs and this is explained in the Preparing for your holiday which was sent to you. Property Owner

  • "The cottage was the perfect location had everything we needed."

Just 1 thing that would make it perfect is a new mattress in the room with the iron bed, it dipped in the middle and just made the bed really uncomfortable.

  • "The house is beautiful in a great location and we will be re booking next year, they could have done with a feedback book as the kettle was broken (the switch on button wouldn’t stay on) and the Hoover was inadequate especially in a property that takes dogs the hoover bag was old and I wanted to hoover all through the house before we left but couldn’t."

  • "A great cottage, all the facilities required in the cottage were there at at hand."

Within easy reach of major high street shops and numerous places to eat. There were also enough pubs to visit, some of which are pet friendly. The cottage is one and a half miles from lake Windermere where there are some good shops and cafes. A few hundred yards up the road is a fantastic park for exercising your dogs and other dog owners are very friendly. The only downside was one of the sofas was a bit uncomfortable maybe due to me being a short person. I would recommend this cottage as a place to hire.

  • "It was a fabulous property had everything you could wish for."

The only thing that could be improved is a new mattress on the double bed on the first floor it was very lumpy and hard I had to put 2 duvets on top of it so that I could sleep.

Thank you for your feedback, the owner has responded by replacing the mattress with a Which recommended Eve Mattress. Property Owner

  • "The house is perfectly situated within strolling distance of Windermere’s amenities, with a park for the dogs directly opposite."

The instruction booklet was written in such a way that it made you feel comfortable from the off, especially with your Fur babies, rather than a list of rules and do’s and dont’s. Parking at the back is a big tight, especially if you have 2 larger cars and you have to be quick to secure a free space on the road out the front. If we were to re visit the lakes, we would definitely consider Ingle Burrow again.
