    “We did enjoy our stay at oak beck but wouldn’t return, Location was very good, house was clean and comfortable BUT it is advised as dog friendly which doesn’t only mean that the owners are happy for you to bring them, but should be suitable also.”

    The photos of the garden are very miss leading, the only access to an enclosed garden to the rear is actually a flagged yard 12 foot long and about 5 foot wide no grass! The second shared patio area is not free to let your dog roam as must be kept on a lead. Access to this yard was a bit tricky for most dogs as the steps are very big and even my German Shepard wasn’t happy stepping down and wouldn’t go toilet. Which did mean very early walks and late night walks for the dogs needs. So not ...

The property

Ideally located in Windermere, just a short walk from the amenities of both the towns of Windermere and Bowness, lies this characterful terraced cottage.

On your right is a door leading to a sitting room and dining area, a bright and airy space lit by the large bay window at the front of the property.

The sitting area is furnished with comfortable sofas arranged around a feature marble fireplace with woodburning stove.

At the other end of the room is the dining area, a sociable space with views over the back garden.

To the rear of the property is a split-level kitchen, comprising a small seating area at ground level with the cabinets and appliances a few steps below.

The kitchen is a contemporary affair but fits perfectly with the period features of the cottage.

Down a further flight of stairs is a handy WC and basin, as well as a utility room with washing machine with space to dry your clothing.

Upstairs are three appealing bedrooms; two with double beds and a further single bedroom.

There is also a family bathroom with walk in shower, basin and wc.

The garden can be accessed through a side door in the kitchen.

This leads to an enclosed yard area, with a gate that subsequently leads to a further unenclosed patio area through a communal access route.

The pretty patio area is furnished and features a number of pleasant plants and greenery, offering a lovely spot for relaxing together in the afternoon sun.

The towns of Windermere and Bowness-On-Windermere are only a short walk away, both of which offer a number of shops, cafes, restaurants and pubs, as well as various other amenities.

Offering a fantastic location and beautiful accommodation, this property is ideal for a family or group of friends wanting a Lakeland getaway.

The twin towns of Bowness and Windermere are both vibrant, fun-filled places set within the splendid scenery of the Lake District. Both towns provide a range of amenities, shops and restaurants to suit all tastes whilst Ambleside offers the additional attraction of a boat ride to Bowness, the Lakeside Aquarium and Beatrix Potter's 'Hill Top House' at Sawrey.
