    It's spacious, modern and in a great location. Property has everything you could need, kids loved the WiFi. The stream at the side of the property was my favourite feature! Would return without hesitation, which is always the sign of a top quality property.

  • "This is without doubt the best holiday property we have stayed in."

    The build and standard of finishings is high-end quality. So spacious and with two bathrooms and three toilets, would very comfortably accommodate six. Uninterrupted supply of hot water. Great outdoor space. It was a very peaceful stay and the perfect base for exploring what is a new area for us and one which very much captured our hearts. One minor issue when we arrived, which the owner immediately responded to, even though it could have waited. We would definitely stay there again and highly recommend Treetops.

  • "Upon arrival the accommodation was brilliant."

    Well maintained and very clean and comfortable. However because of the weather - from arrival it rained incessantly and was cold. Unfortunately the property was cold throughout and we were unable to turn up the heating from preset and it didn’t come on at all. The TVs in the bedroom didn’t work and the living room TV had permanent subtitles even thought it showed off in the settings. Also there were very few channels available. We tried to speak to Sykes without success so we left after 2 days of our 4 day stay.

I’m really glad you found the accommodation clean and comfortable, but I’m so sorry to hear your stay was affected by the weather, the heating, and the TV issues. I can completely understand how frustrating that must have been, especially when you couldn’t get it sorted during your visit. I’ll be looking into the heating and TV problems straight away so this doesn’t happen again. I truly wish your stay had been more enjoyable, and I really appreciate you letting me know about these issues.   • "A very clean and comfortable place to stay."

    The garden is also spacious and private with access to tables and chairs. A very peaceful spot in a quiet village. This is my second stay within a couple of weeks. My family and I really like this cottage.

  • "Super property, well designed, lovely interior, fabulous layout."

    Beautiful village with great access to the countryside of Forest of bowland. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and I would definitely look to return in the future. Very minor point would be to have some kind of blinds on the skylight windows as the light woke us rather early, however, it did not detract from a fantastic stay.

  • "The house is just perfect, spacious and very comfortable."

    It was ideal for the six of us, with plenty of cosy beds and bathrooms. The house has been decorated to a high standard and has everything you could possibly need for a lovely holiday. The view is stunning and we enjoyed the peaceful location. We didn't want to leave! We would highly recommend this property and hope to return soon.

  • "Absolutely amazing holiday cottage, so clean, homely, excellent facilities."

    This was our second stay here and we are already planning to return. Great for families. We stayed with our 4 year old but my brother joined us also for a night and the family for a day for a family meal.

  • "Lovely property but :- Very cold first evening maybe as it was vacant for few weeks prior- bedroom radiators didn’t work at all."

    Needs more kitchen items not expensive but cups / mugs - tray - etc for ease. Fridge freezer makes awful noise throughout which is located in open space just constantly rattling/ buzzing noise. Very modern property nice village location Amenities are in Clitheroe.

  • "The cottage was of high spec and well equipped with excellent outdoor space and set in a very rural location."

    Could not fault the accommodation, however the presence of a holiday cottage in the village seemed to have upset one of the neighbours. The neighbour was unhappy about the use of the outdoor lighting within the property and complained. This was disappointing as it put a dampener on our stay.

Treetops is nestled into a fantastic location in the Forest of Bowland Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty and is a charming stone cottage in Newton-in-Bowland near to Clitheroe, which is the perfect destination for a family holiday or get-together of friends.

Drive up through the gated entrance and park on the ample driveway and your holiday can begin.

Open the door and enter into the hugely impressive open-plan living space which is somewhere you can imagine spending a lot of time on your holiday, socialising, cooking, eating, drinking, relaxing and just generally getting into the holiday vibe.

On those cold, winter days, you can curl up in the welcoming sitting area complete with an attractive woodburning stove, or if the sun is shining then you can step out onto the outside terraced areas which have a dining area and a patio area, ideal for alfresco entertaining.

Talking of entertaining, the kitchen is a wonderful area for cooking up a storm with the feature breakfast island just made for gathering around, pouring a glass of your favourite tipple and keeping the designated chef company.

When it’s time to serve up, pull up a chair at the stylish dining area and look forward to long, lazy meals together and come bedtime, guests can choose from three bedrooms, a fantastic ground-floor king-size with TV and en-suite and a twin and a king-size also with a TV.

There is also a shower room and if you’re looking for an alternative area to relax then take a seat on the landing sitting area and curl up with a good book.

Waking up at Treetops you’re already in a great setting for getting out and about exploring.

There are so many walks, hikes and trails in the neighbouring Forest of Bowland with additional outdoor destinations including the Yorkshire Dales National Park and the Nidderdale Area of Natural Outstanding Beauty, both within a short drive.

Pay a visit to Clitheroe which has a good selection of shops and eateries and a Grade I listed castle with other attractions including Brungerley Bridge and Waddow Hall.

A stunning, bustling town on the fringe of the Forest of Bowland Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty in Lancashire. Clitheroe is the perfect base for a holiday, it offers a great selection of all amenities from a local market to individual shops, plenty of pubs and restaurants to choose from. The town also boasts a Grade I listed castle which also offers a maze and a museum for the children to enjoy. On a rainy day you can visit the Edisford Sports Complex with its swimming pool and football pitch. On the outskirts of Clitheroe there is the historical Brungerley Bridge and the activity-filled Waddow Hall is worth a visit. As well as the Forest of Bowland, the town comes within driving distance of the Yorkshire Dales National Park and the Nidderdale AONB, a perfect position for you walkers and cyclists.
