  • "The house was beautiful and very comfortable."

It was in beautiful surroundings. The only point I would raise for a self catering property for 4 is the fridge is very small and no cupboard for food. Fantastic place to stay and lovely to hear the cows, sheep and horses as you sit outside for breakfast. Weather permitting!!!!

It’s a good location for many outings and for seeing the Dales. The cottage itself is well equipped, has good heating and comfortable beds with fresh good quality bedding. The only downsides are no views from the cottage and no pub in the village.

Clean, comfortable, well maintained, beautifully equipped and cosy warm. The owners have put themselves out to ensure your stay is a welcoming one. Located in a quiet, rural village this property allows easy access to the stunning scenery surrounding Settle, Malham and Ribblehead. It's not surprising to read in the visitor's book that guests use this as a regular bolt hole, and have stayed four times or more. We loved our stay and thank the owners for their efforts.

The Coach House was spotlessly clean and tidy and nice and warm. There were clear instructions on how to get to the address and everything you could wish for was provided. There were 2 lovely large comfy sofas which are always a bonus, and planty of seating for 4. My only criticism if I had to make one is that it was a bit short in cutlery, as there was just 4 of everything so you had to wash up between meals and if you had friends or family over for a meal there wasn't quite enough. Perfect holiday home in lovely village and we will definitely book again.

Lovely little sun trap at the front to sit and listen to the variety of wildlife around. Always feels better when the weather is good but the cottage has a good spacious layout if the weather is less kind and you end up indoors. Plenty of good walking options from the property or within a 30min drive. Bedrooms were a good size with plenty of storage. Own transport highly recommended since there’s no pub/supermarket in the village. Had a wonderful stay there and highly recommend.

Rathmell is away from the main road, so it is quiet and peaceful, but close enough to the A65 to make travelling around the truly beautiful area, and historic towns easy. My husband had his best night sleep in years. It was cloudy during our visit but I am sure on clear nights the stars must be wondrous. The property is spacious, well equiped and attractively furnished. The Coach House has good heating and lots of hot water, which was lovely and cosy in a chilly December. For bad weather days a smart tv, games and puzzles are provided for entertainment. The outside parking is large and access to the main door is easy, especially for moving luggage. The owners generously provide some welcome, 'goodies, which was very kind. They live next door on a working farm and are to hand if needed. We loved listening to the animals who have their winter home in a neighbouring barn. We liked it so much that we have already booked a visit in 2022. It is a great find and look forward to next year.
