  • "A lovely big house with good outside space, lovely hot tub and in a good location to visit various places in Leicestershire."

We felt the rental was high considering the house needed some attention in places and additions to the facilities. For example, the shower in the main bathroom is showing signs of deterioration, the sealant needs re-doing and the flooring needs renewing. Also, the kitchen needs a dishwasher. When you are holidaying with the family, the last thing you want is to be constantly washing pots. However, the owners were quick to solve a problem we had with the cot and provided a nice welcome pack on arrival.

The hot tub was well maintained and enjoyed, especially on a cold sleety day in February!!! Thankyou to to the owners who allowed us to have a lovely holiday.

The welcome pack was a lovely touch. We had a great stay, my grandsons loved the hot tub, so did Nana !! The owners were on hand to help even on Christmas Eve and the Christmas tree and decorations were an unexpected extra touch. Thank you

  • "This is such a lovely house and very peaceful, I was worried when I realised it was next to a railway bridge but I needn’t have because the railway line is no longer in use The house has everything you need and the owner was on hand for any advice or help, the hot tub was lovely and was maintained/checked daily, someone had previously mentioned that lorries could see you in the tub but tbh we only used it in the evenings and was secluded enough for us… you have a bathing costume on so no different than being on holiday anywhere else The beds were very comfortable and the black out curtains were very good at keeping the light out etc, The welcome basket and goodies in the fridge was a lovely thought and made the long drive from Scotland worth it!"

I would highly recommend this property to anyone, it has a ramp access for wheelchairs and a wet room downstairs too All in all a lovely time was had by all!

Thank you so much for your feedback, we are so pleased that you had a lovely stay at Bankside. We have tried to make sure that everything is there for the best stay. Glad you enjoyed the welcome pack and made full use of the property. Property Owner

  • "Great beautiful house with a really lovely hot tub."

Lovely welcome pack of food and a bottle of wine and milk in the fridge. I had a wonderful 60th catching up with my cousin's. We walked to the Nags head which was a lovely village pub and took about 25 minutes but was a lovely walk. Thoroughly recommend. Thank you

Thank you Tracy for your lovely feed back. We are glad you enjoyed the Nags as it is one of our favourite places. We hope to see you again :) Property Owner

  • "We had a lovely girls weekend here."

Owners were lovely and kind - they gave us coal and firelighters for the BBQ when I told them we didn’t have any. The house is well equipped and the rooms are beautifully furnished. The only downside is the garden area is actually at the front of the house, and so it wasn’t completely private especially in the daytime as there were trucks on the road and people passing by that could look in to the garden area. The hot tub was decorated with fairy lights which looked stunning at night, bbq was was also easy to use. Overall, lovely stay at Bankside house.

  • "We couldn't have asked for a more perfect house for our family getaway!"

The house itself is beautifully decorated with great size bedrooms. The wheelchair access through the downstairs bedroom and wet room are perfect for anybody needing accessible features during a stay. The kitchen was fully equipped and we didn't find anything that was missing that stopped us being able to cook meals, as well as the bbq being an added bonus for hot days. We absolutely loved the hot tub set up on an evening to relax with a few drinks. We've stayed in a few properties in the UK over the years and never found owners to be as nice and accommodating as Penny and Heath. Straight on hand to help within minutes when we needed a bit of help. But overall perfect stay and we can't wait to come back sometime! Thanks for everything

It was an absolute pleasure to have you and your family stay at Bankside. We are so happy that everything met your needs. We took on board your feed back regarding a single arm chair, which we have now purchased. You are welcome to return anytime Property Owner
