  • "Lovely and well maintained property."

All dressed for Christmas with a thoughtful welcome hamper. The cottage has everything you may need and is close to local amenities. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and visiting the seals.

Thank you for your kind feedback. So pleased you enjoyed your stay over the festive period Property Owner

  • "It was lovely with good quality fittings and fixtures, warm, clean and comfortable."

Welcome pack was a bonus. Only minor issue was one of the kitchen bins seemed impossible to remove so was difficult to empty and clean. Also given that we had to be out by 10am it would have been nice to be able to leave dishes in the dishwasher to run after we'd left.

Thank you very much for your feedback. I’m aware the back bin is awkward, not sure how to fix it! Seems to be the way it’s fitted, it’s a real pain. Also you were very welcome to have left dishes or have left them in the dishwasher running either would have been fine. Overall very pleased you had an enjoyable stay x Property Owner

The cottage was clean with nice furniture, good quality beds , no clutter, just fresh and cosy. Well pleased and I have been to many cottages over the years.

Thank you very much for your positive feedback. Pleased you enjoyed your stay. Also thank you so much for the lovely card and chocolates, very appreciated. A very kind gesture x Property Owner

  • "We had a very enjoyable week."

The cottage was very comfortable (and warm, as the temperature dopped towards the end of our stay) and within easy walking distance of local shops (and grooming parlour for the dog!). Lots to do within a 20 mile radius, and good local walks from the doorstep. The one thing that would have been useful would have been a small saucepan, but that's a very minor drawback!

Many thanks for your kind feedback. Really pleased you enjoyed your time in Alford. A small saucepan will be bought for the cottage! X Property Owner

The town of Alford was very friendly with an eclectic mix of shops. Also great walking area. Only gripe no gin and tonic glasses

Pleased you enjoyed your stay, I’m sorry there were no gin glasses for you…will take note and pop some in the cupboard! X Property Owner

  • "This is a tasteful, comfortable cottage the owners have given special consideration to."

There was a lovely welcome pack when we arrived, even though we were on a short break. Everything was spotlessly clean and they seemed to have thought of everything. Even though it's in town, it was quiet. Would definitely stay here again if in area and it's available.

Thank you for your feedback, it’s much appreciated. We are thrilled you enjoyed your stay Property Owner

  • "We stayed at Printer's Cottage for nearly 8 weeks from Jan to March, whilst relocating to Lincolnshire from Yorkshire."

The property was amazing, the kitchen had everything anyone would need during a stay, with dishwasher, washing machine and space outside to hang some washing. All rooms were very well presented and very clean. We had a dog who was more than happy here, many choices of walks very close by, and was even provided with own towels in utility room. Jess was very lovely and kept in regular contact for bed changes too. Would very much recommend this Cottage, the stay was great.

Thank you so much for your lovely feedback and comments☺️ It means a lot. We are so pleased you enjoyed your stay in Alford and hope you have settled in at your new home xxx Property Owner

  • "House was spotless, and everything in the house was amazing, however we have decided to end our holiday 2 days earlier as there was no garden, which we weren't aware of and that was a little issue to us because our gods are not used to go poty being on the leash."

Otherwise, there were no complaints, and the owners did a fantastic job. Thank you so much for letting us stay in your place.

Alford is a charming market town in Lincolnshire. It is set at the foot of the Lincolnshire Wolds, an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty and is about 11 miles north-west of the coastal resort of Skegness. There is a wide range of shops including a pharmacy, grocers and two butchers as well as a large shop which specialises in doll’s houses and their contents. Alford has become an important centre for arts and crafts with many markets held throughout the year. The main market is held in the Market Place every Tuesday and Friday with the craft market being held every August Bank Holiday as well as Christmas markets being held every year. Alford is known for its Grade 1 listed working windmill, which is used commercially to produce stone-ground organic flour. Alford Manor House is a central point in the town, with its exhibitions and museum as well as a tea room and open gardens. With Alford being set in the Lincolnshire Wolds, there are plenty of walking and cycling routes to follow or even take a trip to the Lincolnshire Wolds Railway or Claythorpe Watermill and Wildfowl Gardens, where you will find plenty of birds and animals, with plenty of space to sit and relax with great views of the old mill. Within 30 mins, you will find the seaside resorts of Skegness and Mablethorpe, with great beaches, making a great playground for children and adults alike.
