  • "The cottage is very comfortable and everything you need is there."

The bed is so comfy we have written the make etc down so we can get the same. There are lovely walks nearby and the people are friendly and welcoming.

  • "It was far from dog friendly the patio area was across a courtyard that was awful to walk on"

Thank you for your feedback. We do take feedback comments very seriously. There is plenty of countryside close-by to walk the dogs and the front of the property is a graveled area for parking. Kind regards. Property Owner

  • "The Stables was clean, warm & spacious inside."

There was a nice welcome pack of 4 cakes, tea bags and milk and Anita met us when we arrived all good so far. However The Stables was indeed down the side of the owners bungalow in the back garden/shingle parking area with no privacy what so ever. I'm sure the owners were nice people but I've never felt so uncomfortable in a property I truly felt as if we were staying in their granny annex and this was not portrayed in the pictures or information of the property. We only stayed 1 night not 2. Sykes obviously can not visit all their properties but the information of this ones position left an awful lot to be desired, I was truly shocked when we arrived. I have two dogs and always holiday self catering so have come upon good and not so good accommodation but this one completely shocked as to its position.

Thank you for your feedback, we are glad to hear you enjoyed the cleanliness and welcome pack provided. I am sorry to hear you did not think the property has any privacy, we have advertised the property to state it is next to the owner’s home to make all guests aware. We are sorry that you felt it was necessary to travel home because of this and wish you the best with your holidays in future. Property Owner

  • "A wonderful, cosy, and very comfortable cottage in a lovely quiet location."

The rooms are all a good size with comfortable furniture - especially the bed and sofas. It was nice to have a proper wardrobe rather than the rail or hook on the wall you often find these days. As we didn’t want to eat out too much at the moment it was good to find everything I needed to be able to cook a meal. The owners were very friendly and welcoming. Definitely a place to re-visit.

  • "The cottage was extremely spacious and very comfortable with lots of homely touches."

The owners were extremely helpful but did not intrude in any way. It was lovely to find the table laid for a cup of tea and a very thoughtful and tasty cake on our arrival. The area was very picturesque and the people in the village very friendly and full of local knowledge. Can't recommend this cottage more highly.

  • "The accommodation was spacious clean and comfortable but unfortunately looked to have been furnished from a charity shop and it smelt very strongly of damp so much so in the built-in wardrobe that we lived out of the suitcase all week."

We did not see the owner all week no one asked if we were OK or it seems cared. The weather was beautiful and the position of the stables in a small village but all together the worst place we've been to with Sykes

Thank you for your feedback, we are sorry to hear that the property didn't quite meet with your expectations, we do feel that description is a true reflection of what to expect when you arrive property. If we'd have been made aware of any issues we would have been more than happy to attend to assist you during your stay. Property Owner

the onlyslight niggle was the slowness of broadband but that was to be expected in a rural area. The owners were pleasant and did not bother us throughout our stay. We woudcertainly return and we are not surprised that a lot of people want to book it.

  • "Very friendly couple who couldn’t do enough to make sure our stay was as comfortable as possible."

Interesting area to explore, especially in such sunny weather. Plenty of room to park the car and a canal nearby to walk the dog. We definitely recommend a visit to the nearby town of Louth, (Saturday market) which sports plenty of interesting shops and the best hot chocolate I’ve ever had (think half a cup of molten dark chocolate with a jug of hot frothy creamy milk) sheer heaven! A small cafe but worth a visit.

It has everything that you need to enjoy your mini break, from cooking utensils to towels in the bathroom. The couple who own it are lovely and don't intrude at all. A piece of cake and tea making stuff for you when you arrive. The bed is one of the most comfortable I've ever slept in. A nice place to take your dogs for a walk by the 2 churches and by the canal. Cleethorpes and mablethorpe only 14 miles away. Fantastic place that we would highly recommend.

I did see the fella that lived in the house a few times one day as I was going in I sauntered a little just to say hello but he stayed in his car until I had gone in and lastly it is not pet friendly my little dogs hated the gravel and not being enclosed (you went straight out of the square right onto the road so dogs needed to be kept on a lead at all times I will not be returning there again.
