“Lovely accommodation and the owners were very friendly .”

On site there is a friendly donkey and a couple of sheep. Plenty of places to take the dogs for a walk . There is a lovely little local pub about 20 minutes walk from the accommodation too. We will definitely be visiting again .

The property

Ginny's Barn is a detached brick barn conversion, on the owner's mixed livestock and arable farm, at the edge of the small rural Nottinghamshire village of Askham.

This well-equipped, spacious single-storey cottage offers open plan living areas, with traditional country furnishings, natural slate flooring with underfloor heating, exposed oak cross beams and a stable-style door.

There is a grassed area to the front of the property, from where views of the orchard can be seen.

Also the three towers of Lincoln Cathedral can be seen on the horizon from the bedroom window and garden.

A short walk into the village finds the local public house, also serving meals.

Historic Lincoln offers a vibrant and contemporary day out with plenty of things to keep everyone busy.

There is plenty of history on offer with its medieval cathedral and a copy of the Magna Carta housed at the castle.

Why not walk the castle walls and take in the views across the city?

The National Nature Reserve of Sherwood Forest is a short drive away and was once part of a royal hunting forest.

The area now covers 450 acres with plenty of walking and cycling routes, and includes some ancient trees, some of which are over 500 years old.

Note: This property can be booked with Ref. 925804, together they sleep 4.
