It was a real WOW factor. Such a home from home feeling & the little extras (robes for adults) went down such a hit! The cute welcome basket :) We absolutely loved our stay here & are already in talks about next years dates to come back. Thank you for a wonderful stay. You really do have a beautiful lodge.

Perfect lodge in fantastic surroundings. Loved the walks around the lakes. Didn't use the club facilities after reading about the expense. The lodge was too nice to want to go anywhere else anyway!!!

It is well presented , well equipped, clean ,warm and spacious. It was nice to have good reliable WiFi . The hot tub was fab and relaxing on the cold winters days / evenings . Enjoyed the air displays over the park from near by RAF base. Communication with the owner was very good and she was very helpful. And the chocolates ,bubbles and dog treats was a nice touch Thank you

The double bed was made but the singles were not. It would have been nice to have the other bedroom as another alternative as some nights there is some snoring going on an a another bedroom to use would have been perfect

  • "Beautiful lodge!"

So homely and the owners have thought of everything. Beds are comfortable ,hot tub lovely and we loved the built in sound system. We danced around the lodge most evenings. The lakes and grounds of the park are so well maintained and beautiful. The only negative we had is paying to use Merlin point, the entertainment complex on site. We paid to use and then the drinks prices were ridiculous. No a lot going on. No entertainment which I believe there should be if your paying to use. The kids entertainment that took place in the circus tent. Wasn’t amazing and didn’t appeal to the children in my opinion. I have been to other camps and sites where the kids entertainment is much better and engaging for the children. I would definitely stay In the lodge again but I wouldn’t buy an entertainment pass to then be over charged for everything at the facilities. No complaints to lodge owners but some feedback for them to pass on to the site.

  • "Ashton lodge was beautiful spotless and comfortable."

Tattershall Lakes was pleasant however we tried to use the bar/ restaurant but were told we couldn’t without an entertainment pass costing £64. We were begrudgingly prepared to pay this but told we couldn’t until the following day??? Perhaps this could be mentioned on the advert. All in all a lovely break thank you.

  • "The lodge was amazing and we had a enjoyable stay."

The only thing is as we have stayed at Tattershall Lakes for the past 4 years we have noticed that this year we have seen a limited number of place we can take our dog which was different to our previous stay. This meant that our son had to remain in the lodge through most of our stay and this limited the times and places we can eat and drink together.

  • "The pictures in the advert caught our eye and that's why we booked ashton lodge."

Picture adverts can sometimes be misleading but when we arrived we were more than pleased. The lodge was extremely clean and tidy, absolutely gorgeous. Tattershall is somewhere we never thought of for a holiday but the advert on Sykes made us stop, think and then book and we have just booked our next holiday through Sykes already, this time Gloucestershire, again another advert that caught our eye immediately. Tattershall Park was beautiful. Lovely walks around the lake where you could watch the jet skis or water skis, speed boats etc or you could have a go yourself. Great outdoor pool, spash pads and climbing frames, gym, so catered for all ages. Nearby local attractions also and we especially enjoyed going to the RAF spotters car park where you have a stunning view of the planes landing and taking off and close enough the pilot waves. The RAF planes did fly very low over the caravan park due to how close the base was so was very loud throughout the week on certain days and times so if not your interest may be annoying - but we personally enjoyed. The hot tub was much enjoyed by us all day and night. We will definitely visit again and we would choose the same lodge to.

  • "Really lovely holiday and the hosts couldn't have been more helpful - Upon arrival we had a hamper of prosecco, shortbread and doggie treats."

There was also milk on the fridge and a little tea/coffee jar which was handy. The cabin was very clean and had lovely added touches which made it a home from home (especially the fluffy gowns). Seeing the jets on weekdays started off as being brilliant but got a little wearing as the week went on as they kept waking our little one during his naps (not the hosts fault of course!). Also I was unaware we would need to pay £54 for an entertainment pass just to drink in the onsite bar. I expected this was only payable for use of swimming, activities etc. Again, not the hosts fault at all but a little annoying of the site thay they charge you just to have a drink. As we stayed out of season the park was also in the middle of a lot of building work so expect mud and big potholes! Reccommend The Ebrington Arms nearby for dog friendly pub food too! Thanks for our stay - 5* for the accommodation and the hosts but a little let down for us by Away Resorts for the expensive pass required when very little activities were in fact on due to being out of season.

  • "Amazing Lodge!"

We absolutely loved it! It’s so beautiful the hot tub is amazing. So well looked after and clean. However if you are thinking of going to Tattershall lakes for the facilities they won’t be open in January as the season is closed and quite a lot of work was being done to the park which has lead to me snapping a coil spring on my car! But the actual Lodge itself and the owners were just fab! They even put up banners for my partners surprise 21st for when we got there! Could not fault it one bit! Lots to do outside of the park including Tattershall farm which was recommended by one of the owners of the lodge! Absolutely amazing for the kids and adults!! Highly recommend. Skegness beach isn’t too far away too and there’s lots to do there! We loved it that much we will be coming back hopefully in March! When the season starts so my partner can go jet skiing ect. Thankyou Ashton escapes team for a lovley stay and my partner was so happy with his birthday surprise xx

  • "Lodge was exactly what the brochure advertised."

The only downfall was the actual site around the ammenities area was a bit untidy, I would say that it was too small for the site. And wasn't really dog friendly as there was no exercise area for them. And also no paths around the site had to walk on the roads.

From the initial booking, which was so easy to book and kept up to date until arrival the whole process was excellent. The lodge itself was simply stunning..ideally situated on the park with great views of the lake whilst watching the jets is just perfect. The owners have thought of everything..from the gifts left for us to everything you could possible need..it is absolutely spotless . And having fresh towels and robes for the hot tub..which was lush...was just perfect! We will definitely book again...

14/9/19 We have just spent 12 days at Ashton Lodge - Tattershall Lakes - had a fantastic time The Lodge was Superb - Had everything you could want - exactly as advertised - and the welcome pack was much appreciated - even remembering a little something for the Dog Did not use the Site facilities - there was too much to see and visit locally Yes there was some aircraft noise - for short periods - three times a day - but we did not find it spoilt anything In fact - to see the modern jets flying over performing their acrobatics was like having your own personal Air Show - unforgettable We even managed to see the old Spitfires and Hurricanes on a couple of occasions As a family and having a dog with us we could not fault it any way- exceptional in every regard We will certainly hope to be able to get back at some stage in the near future Many thanks to the Owners - M J Hackett-Adams
