  • "Ideal size for our work reunion - group of 10."

We dined in on the Friday of our weekend and found all the kitchen items/facilities we required. The dining room is an excellent space for socialising. Some of the group used the jaccuzzi during the stay which was easy to operate. We spent the Saturday in Lincoln, including supper. Easy commute. Property is in a very peaceful and quiet location, esp at night. Between us I expect we placed a surge demand on the hot water supply through showers etc and we did run out on the Saturday morning though having located the booster button on the heating panel, this was sorted to our satisfaction thereafter. The owner responded also. Overall everyone was impressed with the venue. Highly recommended.

A fantastic stay. Cannot fault the house or Fraser's hospitality. Such a beautiful comfortable house in a lovely location. I would fully recommend having Fraser come over to do his wine tasting. His wines are amazing. That really added something special to what was a wonderful weekend away.

  • "Had an amazing time at a great holiday cottage."

Family of 5 adults and 5 children (ages 3-8) stayed for long weekend. Great facilities including lovely garden with swings/slide for children and plenty of space for garden games. Visited Belton Park National trust about 30 mins from property which was great for adults and children, visited local pub for dinner one night. Would definitely recommend.

  • "What an absolutely amazing house and host."

This is a beautiful home from home, with extremely large bedrooms sleeping 12 people comfortably. The living space is equally as impressive, from the well equipped kitchen to the great orangery with large table: with little nooks to sit and read or watch the world go by. Fabulous parking facilities and a wonderful garden to sit in, and not forgetting the hot tub. If you get the chance to do a wine tasting with Frazer it is absolutely worth every penny and the wine it astonishingly great. I have stayed at some beautiful place, and this is one of the best we will definitely return in the future. Thank you again Frazer for a tremendous stay

Hi Susan, Thank you so much for your wonderful comments. We really enjoyed having your group to stay and Fraser had a great time showing you his wines. I hope we get to see you all again sometime. Have a great Christmas! Property Owner

  • "We had a fantastic stay at the Glebe over the Jubilee weekend."

The owner, Fraser, was excellent throughout ensuring that we always had everything we needed and even recommending a couple of great walking routes in the area. He also arranged for the hot tub to be ready for us (which was well worth it) and gave us a wine tasting experience at his wine farm which borders the property. Our group was from South Africa so expectations were high to begin with but the wine and the experience were excellent and I would highly recommend to all future travellers. A fantastic stay!

Adam, thank you for your lovely comments. We are delighted that you had a wonderful time and so pleased you opted for the wine tasting experience. We had no idea you were coming from South Africa, so your recommendation holds even more weight, as I'm sure you're used to excellent wine! Hopefully we'll see you all again some time. Safe travels! • "We all had a very comfortable stay at the Glebe."

The house suited our family gathering well, which comprised of ten adults and two babies under one. The downstairs layout of interconnecting kitchen , conservatory and living room worked well for all of us. Hot tub and large lawn ( much fun with the croquet set !) provided entertainment whilst we there. The Glebe is a beautiful house with lots of nooks and crannies and many interesting books. There were times when the hot water did not perform when a few showers were run , but that was a minor inconvenience. All the bedrooms and beds were large and comfortable. Fraser welcomed us to the house and left a couple of bottles of his delightful wine. A great stay !!

Dear Jane, Sorry for the delay in responding to your lovely comments. We are so pleased you enjoyed your stay and made the most of everything the house has to offer. It certainly is wonderful in the hot tub and garden when the weather is nice! While I know Wim Hof advocates the benefits of cold showers, I hope the glitches with hot water after multpile showers didn't spoil your fun. We're glad the wine went down well - it is always a surprise to guests to learn that we have a vineyard in the village! Property Owner

  • "Nice cottage in a good location."

Could do with a good clean. We also had issues with a leaking roof and 2 of the showers stopped working. Owner did everything he could to resolve and was responsive but it meant our stay wasn't straightforward. Think they have only had cottage recently so some teething issues. Did say was looking to boost wifi coverage as well as not good throughout cottage noting thick walls as expected for a grade 2 listed building.

Dear Vijay, Thank you for your feedback. We are glad you liked the house and sorry about the few teething issues you encountered. The house is old and the fixtures and fittings aren't brand new . We tried to furnish the house in keeping with the style and period of the property, but we do endeavour to make sure it is very clean for our guests, so we are sorry you felt this wasn't the case. Electric showers do sometimes take some getting used to and while other guests haven't had a problem, we have checked them thoroughly to make sure there will be no issue in future. We have also spoken to BT about the wifi and they have assured us they will be able to improve on the reach. We hope you enjoyed the bottles of wine we gave you as a gesture to make up for the hiccups! :-) Property Owner
