  • "A comfortable and convenient base to explore the lincolnshire wolds; an area which surpassed my expectations."

Caistor is a very attractive town and its Caistor in bloom group provided a lovely floral display. There are also a number of interesting walks just a short distance from the holiday property.

  • "Lovely little ground floor apartment."

Very comfy and cosy in a quiet little town. My only hang up was that it’s very overlooked. Every window leaves you very visible to passerby’s, and there were builders directly outside my bedroom/kitchen window for the last 4 days of my visit as the property opposite was having some building work. It would definitely benefit from some slatted blinds or sheer curtains to provide more privacy without having to shut out all the light and use electric lighting.

  • "The apartment was very clean and comfortable, with attractive decor and all the necessary modern appliances (excellent shower)."

Storage in the bedroom was rather limited and the hand basin rather too tiny to be of great practical use, but nothing which detracted from our stay. Again, a coffee table might have been helpful in the lounge as we were terrified of knocking over a mug of coffee onto the new-looking carpet! And it was hard to spot the key safe as it was hiding behind a downpipe outside. But these were all minor observations and overall the accommodation was immaculate and attractively presented, as well as being conveniently located in the centre of Caistor.

  • "The location of Fonaby was excellent."

We were in the area to visit an elderly relative and found Caistor an extremely friendly place. Everyone we met was kind and helpful. The surrounding countryside is beautiful and unspoilt with lots of history to explore from the Roman times of Caistor to ironstone mining in Nettleton to name a few.

The host made every effort to prepare the cottage - it was spotlessly clean, high end toiletries were provided, and a welcome pack of food staples was very welcome on arrival!

Everything was clean and tidy, the bed was very comfortable what a great place to stay, central in the village with lots of walking places. A perfect holiday cottage for a relaxing getaway.

  • "We loved the place and thought it was immaculate."

We didnt have any complaints but just felt that the sink in the bathroom was a bit too small and the sink in the kitchen is different to what we are used to and did end up spraying water everywhere a couple of times. But we loved the stay and would definitely recommend.
