• "This is genuinely one of the best holiday cottages I have stayed in."

  Millside is so well designed, such a good use of space. It was spotless when we arrived. The beds were comfortable, the kitchen was well equipped and it is in a fantastic location, local shops, restaurants and pubs just a few minutes walk and in the other direction the city centre. The parking permit was left out ready to use straight away. The treats and milk left were very welcome. The courtyard was lovely to sit out and with the view of the windmill. I would love to return to Millside in the future.

• "House was perfect in every way from the position in Lincoln to the house itself."

  Extremely clean. Very comfortable. Contained all the essentials. Good cleaning/change sheets service. House was decorated for Christmas which was a lovely touch. Would highly recommend this house and would stay again.

• "The property is beautifully and tastefully decorated to a high standard."

  Spotlessly clean. Parking right outside, we did not need to use our car as walking into Lincoln was easy. Being next to the windmill was lovely and we ate our breakfast in the garden. The welcome pack was nice. Bed was very comfortable. Had a relaxing stay and would love to return.

• "Another fantastic stay at Millside."

  This is a wonderful cottage in a great location. The cottage is beautifully furnished and very comfortable and the little extras in the welcome pack much appreciated. Very easy walking distance to the castle and cathedral and several excellent restaurants which meant we didn't need to use the car that much. However never had any difficulty parking even over the bank holiday. We will definitely be back again! Thank you.

• "Wow what a wonderful home greeted us, the whole house was perfect in design and comfort."

  Everything had been thought of and the welcome gift was an added touch. Parking was perfect, but we decided living so close to all the historic sights, that walking was the better option. We will definitely be returning and the owner deserves praise for their attention to detail. Whoever designed the rooms has excellent taste, even the garden, although simple, was neat and useable with a wonderful view of the windmill.

• "Situation is fantastic."

  In the high part of Lincoln, a short level walk from the castle, cathedral and old town. Even closer is a decent supermarket (2 mins walk) and several takeaways. Parking is not an issue at all. There were always spaces in Mill Road quite close to the house. If you want to move your car right to the house, spaces open up during working hours. The property is a modernized terrace house which is clean, roomy enough and comfortably furnished. Our only negative comment is that the stairs are very steep with shallow treads and you cannot get a strong grip on the handrail provided. Felt a bit precarious when descending,

• "The scores given suggest total contentment with the accommodation."

  Parking outside potentially could have been an issue but Zone 4D obliged graciously. The only thing we would request would be larger bath towels. I hope the owner will be happy with the way we left the house too. Apart form sheets and towels left in clear sacks one would hope it would look like no one had been there. Just nice to get a return thank you.

• "Great holiday house."

  Super clean and amazingly well presented. Everything we needed was there. Spent a week there for Easter and loved it. Absolutely no problem parking. Lots of places to walk to direct from the house.

• "This is a wonderful holiday 'cottage'."

  Absolutely everything you could wish for. We stayed as a couple but would be equally well-suited to a family. Great location for exploring Lincoln which is a beautiful historic city where all encountered were friendly and welcoming. Didn't have to contact owners during the stay but was impressed when I had a query the week before and received a reply within minutes.

• "Property exceeded all expectations generated by the photos online."

  Have never rented such an immaculate cottage before. Perfect location and absolutely no problems with parking. Cosy comfortable stay. Kitchen very well equipped. Lovely bed linen and towels. Suggest two minor additions to house manual - recycling bin goes out every other week, and better description of hot water and heating would have been welcome.

• "Very high quality refurb."

  Very well equipped. The owners provided an excellent welcome pack. Very interesting that next door is a windmill. And it’s an excellent base to explore the very historic Lincoln - ten minute walk to the Cathedral. Despite warnings about the availability of parking, we had two cars and had no difficulty. No hesitation in recommending.

• "Beautiful little terraced cottage."

  Decor throughout is so lovely. Ideally positioned for visiting the cathedral quarter of Lincoln, with its cathedral, castle, cafes, wine bars and restaurants. Kitchen well equipped, modern and easy to use. Having two bathrooms is great - one on both floors. Bedrooms are comfortable and spacious. Two big sofas in the lounge made relaxing in the evening very comfortable. The only thing that was a challenge is the parking. The parking permit is super helpful but trying to park near the cottage was a challenge and I did not feel totally comfortable with not having the car nearby. Car was fine in the end and I’m not sure what the owners can do about such busy parking - perhaps negotiate with the windmill owners to see if they can rent a space in their unused car park and have a key entry system so that it remains private? It didn't impact our holiday at all. Would definitely book again.

• "This was a beautiful cottage."

  It was incredibly well equipped with everything you could need for your stay, we found they had literally thought of everything. The cleaning was amazing, we felt like we was the first family to rent it. Beautiful and thoughtful deco throughout. A beautiful garden and what a view. Lovely friendly neighbours too. • "Lovely property, in a fantastic setting right next to Ellis Mill with views across Linconshire."

  Had everything we needed, and only a 5 minute walk to the Castle. We even got to see inside the windmill next door, when they had one of the rare open days while we were there.

• "This is a really lovely place to stay."

  Extremely comfortable and very well decorated. We loved the little garden at the back, with the view of the windmill. The cottage is in a quiet street very close to the castle and the cathedral. There are useful shops nearby and meadow land to walk around. The only thing we could suggest is maybe providing more plates and cutlery.

• "Brilliant location for the attractions in Lincoln."
