    Mr Barker

“We arrived to a warm welcome from the hosts and it was clear from the onset that we would enjoy our stay.”

In fact, on day two we booked a 2nd week and were delighted we did! Whilst there we felt relaxed and enjoyed the tranquility both in the well appointed cottage and beautifully tended gardens. There is an adjacent sun room as well as great facilities for sitting and eating outside. Pet-friendly and secure with plenty of outdoor space to enjoy. Would we go back? Yes! It felt like home, was relaxing, clean and comfortable. The hosts were friendly and had clearly put a lot of thought and effort ...

Like a shot! Book now while you still can, you'll be delighted you did.

The cottage

A charming annexe-style dwelling, set on the outskirts of the small village of Heckington.

Resting close to the picturesque Lincolnshire Wolds AONB, Poppy Cottage promises a relaxing break or an adventure-filled getaway for a couple looking to explore this part of England.

Approached via a rural road and tucked away behind the owner’s property, is where you will find this cottage brimming with character.

Upon entering the property, you are welcomed in by the amply equipped kitchen, boasting all the necessities to prepare a delicious home-cooked meal of an evening.

After whipping up your meal settle down around the dining table before sinking into the plush sofa, where you and your loved one can curl up in front of the TV whilst the warmth of the woodburning fire fills the room with tranquillity during those chilly winter evenings, with a sofa bed for sleeping flexibility.

Drift off to sleep within the neutrally decorated bedroom, where you can look forward to waking up each morning within an uplifting atmosphere before enjoying a refreshing shower within the stylish shower room.

Throw open the patio doors to spend a moment within the enclosed garden, where you can soak up the surroundings with a cup of tea in hand, or stretch your legs within the additional garden area which has the added benefit of rural views.

In addition to the enclosed private garden, immediately at the back of the property you will find a large garden that the owners are more than happy for guests to walk around and explore.
