The property

Woodlands Retreat is located in Kenwick Woods near Louth, Lincolnshire and is part of the well-established Kenwick Park estate.

The lodge is an ideal retreat for families and rests within the rolling Lincolnshire Wolds which is an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty.

The lodge boasts ample off-road parking for up to three cars, where you can safely leave your vehicle.

Make your way inside the lodge, built of Scandinavian timber and enjoy a rustic feel throughout; lounge on the cream leather sofas as you watch your favourite DVD on the 55" TV and enjoy some quality time with your loved ones.

Progress through the open-plan living space to the kitchen, a space well equipped for you to be able to enjoy delicious meals during your self-catering stay.

Savour your meal inside at the nearby dining table or outside in the beautiful surroundings on the private wooden veranda.

After dinner, retire to three tastefully furnished bedrooms, including two twins and a king-size with en-suite shower room.

Here you can also relax and watch Smart TV or a film on the DVD player; all of the bedrooms enjoy abundant storage.

For a relaxing morning, have a wander around the woods, or grab any essentials from the on-site shop and enjoy a drink in the hotel bar/restaurant.

Alternatively, book ahead and enjoy a bit of pampering in the spa (extra charges apply).

Golfers won’t be disappointed either; the prestigious championship standard 18-hole course, spanning 190 acres, nestles within the natural features of the Kenwick Park Estate.

Facilities include a Grade II listed clubhouse, practice area and professional tuition.

With a round of golf costing from just £20 (depending on season), what’s not to like!

There is also excellent coarse and fly fishing nearby, with 15 lakes within a 5-mile radius of the lodge.

Louth is a beautiful little market town with wonderful Georgian streets and many fine buildings; one of which is St James’s Church which is open for visitors to climb the stairs to see great views over Louth.

Other buildings include the Riverhead Theatre, the Louth Museum, the art déco cinema and a huge range of quirky shops with plenty of restaurants and pubs.

Take the gentle walk along the river at Hubbards Hills, a beauty spot that never fails to delight visitors of all ages no matter what the time of year.

Nearby is Cadwell Park, one of the country’s most challenging motor racing circuits which makes a great family day out.

There are also opportunities for horse riding, gliding and fishing and Louth boasts not one but two fantastic golf courses.

There are many lovely beaches just a short drive away.

For a day at the beach, travel east to Mablethorpe, where you can spend some time exploring the Mablethorpe Sea Front Area, with its promenade enjoying gorgeous views along the coast, the Famous Sand Train providing great entertainment for all the family, along with the beach itself making for a sunny retreat for all.

Take the opportunity to see the famous seals at Donna Nook if you visit between November and January.

There is also plenty to see in the Lincolnshire Wolds AONB, with a wealth of walking and cycling routes providing excursion enthusiasts with stunning views of the area, with the Gateway Walks being within easy reach from the lodge.

All of this and more awaits at Woodlands Retreat.
