“There was a lack of utensils to cook with such as A vegetable peeler and a can opener all basic items, the light bulb in the upper bedroom was not working and I reported this via text to the cleaner but nothing was done in the two weeks we were there and nobody paid us a visit to see if we were alright, also there wasn't a stair rail on the wall but there was a double thickness of plate glass which you could hold to steady yourself this is not the best of ideas.”

In your website picture you show the sitting room with white light but in reality there were yellow warm light fitted which mad the room quite dark, my wife had to go out into the lobby to read a book. One side or the bed room has a slopping roof so you have to duck down to get in to bed and remember that when you awoke again! Instructions on the heating controls were missing so that became guess work. The rubbish will not be collected if you use a black bin liner it has to be a purple issued by the refuse/ council luckily the shop next door had a spare one to give us and that is not explained anywhere and the collection is a Wednesday not Tuesday as stated. The shower hose would not fit into holder above your head as being plastic it had worn away and needed replacing, when we had to shower we had to hold hose which makes life a little more difficult when washing.

Thank you for your feedback in regards to your stay at Cathedral View. We are sorry to hear that the vegetable peeler and can opener have gone missing from the property, these have since been replaced. When you contacted us regarding the bulb, we tried to arrange a suitable time to attend to replace this for you, however, as we did not have a mobile number for you we were only able to contact you via email. We would have more than happy to replace the bulbs for you or provide you with a bin liner if you had asked. We hope these issues did not affect your overall stay with us. - Sykes owner relations
