  • "Lovely spacious accomodation."

Well maintained, clean and comfortable. There were 4 of us with two dogs and the dogs enjoyed the enclosed garden and surrounding walks. One of our party was disabled so the downstairs bedroom and shower room were perfect, especially as Karen was happy for us to move the bedroom furniture around to suit our guest. A lovely welcome pack with cake, coffee, biscuits, butter & bread allowed us to settle in immediately. Great wifi and copious amounts of hot water. We will be back. Many thanks

Peter, do glad you enjoyed your stay with us, look forward to hosting again. Thanks Karen Property Owner

  • "We had an enjoyable time at your property, although it was still September it was a bit chilly at night and could done with a blanket fror each bedroom as the duvets are summer weight, I am 76 and my friend 81 years old and felt the chill."

I forgot to tell you earlier that the kitchen spotlight near the fridge blew when we were there, also the toilet seat in the upstairs bathroom was loose on 1 side, I could not try to tighten it as my slightly arthritic would not oblige. Thank you for all the items in the Welcome box, especially the delicous cake, We also spent a quite few hours watching the cabbage pickers going up & down the fields. We have been friends for 49 years, living in Chichester West Sussex & Havant Hampshire, I then moved to the Charente SW France in 2001and Pam moved up to Morton Gainsborough 9 years ago, I sold my house in France earlier this year as Covid & Brexit changed the life in France, I live in Portsmouth with my daughter and grandson, I also have 2 grand daughters and 3 great grandchildren, also many friends in the UK that visited me for holidays in France, this holiday at your cottage was a great get to together to catch up with no distraction of being at home. Regards April & Pam

April, so glad you enjoyed staying with us, I'm sorry you felt a bit chilly. We do have a blanket box in the front room with lots of blankets. I'll remember to make sure I let you know ifbyou come again. thanks Karen Property Owner

The dogs loved there stay, Fabulous that they were also secure when let outside. It was amazing to watch the stags run across the farmer's field early mornings, Karen was very very helpful, thank you to her, her husband & family for a wonderful holiday, would definitely go back

  • "Such a lovely property in a peaceful place."

Very dog friendly and there was ample room for everyone to spread out and have their own space, and to come back together for family time. Great advice from the owner, Karen, on things to do in the area (Karen - your husband was right about those pork pies from the butcher...). The location is a fantastic base for walking and cycling and there's an RSPB reserve just up the road, about 15 minutes walk. Really hope to stay here again...

Adrian, so glad you enjoyed your stay and glad you tried the butchers. Look forward to hosting again. Thanks again Karen. Property Owner

  • "We had a wonderful stay at the Olde Chapel, and Karen was wonderful in welcoming us over the phone with recommendations, even before we arrived."

The property is located in a lovely quite area, surrounded by cabbage fields as far as the eye could see, so lovely to be immersed in the peace and tranquillity here. The house was lovely and easy to navigate, the ground floor bedroom & bathroom, especially appreciated for a family member with mobility issues. Everything we could need was provided/available to use, and we certainly appreciated the generous Welcome pack of foods, extremely kind. We loved that the property was situated within easy reach of two RSPB sites, We’ll meet again museum, Boston Church, Maude Foster windmill, Ark wildlife park, and breakfast at Boston Lock cafe & Mountain’s Farm shop………all under 20mts drive away, and which meant we could easily get back to the Chapel House / garden after a day’s exploring to enjoy the warm evening sun, reading our books and gazing over the cabbage fields, we all so loved this property! Thank you so much Karen, we will and have already recommended your lovely property to friends and work colleagues!

  • "The Olde Chapel is delightful."

It is in a fairly isolated area but close to Boston. The cottage is very dog friendly with a small safe garden and walks from the door. The sitting room and bedrooms are very comfortable, and the bath and shower excellent. The kitchen is very well equipped. We had a small query which necessitated contacting Karen the owner who couldn’t have been more helpful. Although we only used the TV there are facilities for other electronic options and plenty of games for both adults and children. We spent a very enjoyable week here and would recommend this cottage without hesitation.

The Olde Chapel was comfortable, clean and warm on arrival and very dog friendly. The garden had stock fencing which gave great confidence on letting the dogs out. There were some thoughtful touches, biscuits for the dogs, brochures and information on the area and the Chapels history, games for wet days plus a well stocked kitchen for cooking too. Definitely would recommend The Olde Chapel and will be back to stay again.

  • "10/10 A little gem, a beautiful property in rural Lincolnshire with everything you need for a comfortable stay."

Surrounded by nature and the most beautiful scenery. The Chapel is surprisingly spacious. It was very clean, modern, warm and well decorated. The hosts Karen and Paul were friendly, accommodating, contactable and just couldn’t do enough for you, they really put a lot of care and effort into making the Chapel the best experience possible. Special touches like the lovely lemon cake were very much appreciated and enjoyed. We had 3 children and a dog with us and they were all catered for so well. The dog even had a welcome package of his own. We stayed in December and the house was decorated for Christmas and hot chocolate and marshmallow cones were made up for the children. The garden is fully enclosed I don’t think it shows in the pictures but there is a mesh along the fence so no need to worry about any escapees. Whilst there we visited historic Lincoln Castle and cathedral and took a walk up steep hill, we visited the new aquarium and dinosaur falls in Skegness, We took a trip to Donna Nook to see the seals and their pups and then to Spalding Baytree winter wonderland to visit Father Christmas and the Springfield shopping village …all well worth a visit . A wonderful stay and we will definitely book again. Thank you Karen and Paul
