  • "Great Stay, Great Welcome, Great Facilities - we stayed 3 nights whilst my daughter graduated in Leicester and we had a lovely stay."

What an excellent host who was very helpful before we arrived (rang us to ask if we wanted bread and milk - what a lovely touch) and also during our stay when we had a few questions. The house was spacious, welcoming, warm, well decorated, plenty of lovely towels and was spotlessly clean with lots of nice touches in the house. The garden was totally enclosed so it is great for dogs and families, with two areas to sit and enjoy the sun. The house was also well equipped e.g bin bags, tea towels, washing up liquid, toilet rolls etc etc so we didn’t have to buy the essentials upon arrival, which was an added bonus and meant less trips to the shops ! Parking was on the street but we did not have an issue and there is lots of alternative parking close by including a £5 per day NCP car park less than 5 minutes walk. Thank you for a lovely stay and we would highly recommend this house if you are ever wanting a base to explore Newark and its surrounding areas, with Lincoln and Nottingham within a 30 minute drive.

  • "The property was great and Jo, the owner, most helpful and obliging."

While I didn’t need the dryer as the weather was good, it wasn’t working. Also for a house that can take 6 people or more, I would recommend installing a dishwasher as it is very convenient and uses less water than hand washing. The garden was delightful and ideal for recreation outside. Proximity to town excellent and the town itself delightful.

  • "Comfortable property in a very central location."

Easy access to town centre, river walks (Newark conservation area), parkland and many eateries. It was an excellent base for the five of us and a dog, although our elderly dog found the steps into the property a little challenging. The property is well heated which was useful when the outside temperature dropped overnight.
