Hawthorn Cottage is a detached bungalow, in the grounds of the owners' home, situated 1.5 miles from the pretty village of Nettleham and just four miles from Lincoln with its historic Bailgate, The Strait and Steep Hill.

The cottage is a perfect choice for a family or couples, with lots to see and do nearby, and is a relaxing retreat, complete with hot tub.

The cottage has an open plan living area with woodburning stove, making it the ideal place for a cosy night in after a busy day sightseeing.

Or why not step through the patio doors and indulge in the hot tub whilst overlooking an ever changing landscape?

The master bedroom can be offered as a sumptuous king-size or set up as a twin room, making this accommodation attractive to a variety of guests.

Nearby Lincoln has a number of events on offer throughout the year, including the ever popular Steampunk Festival, Lincoln Sausage Festival and the superb Christmas Market.

Aviation enthusiasts can enjoy the Newark Air Museum which is just a short drive away.

For cyclists there are lots of cycle routes for all levels and the local rivers and lakes are well stocked providing lots of opportunities for anglers.

Lincolnshire has a rich heritage and boasts the iconic Lincoln Cathedral and the amazing Lincoln Castle, which is home to one of the original copies of the Magna Carta.

Doddington Hall is a fine example of a late Elizabethan mansion and is well worth a visit to sample the kitchen garden, farm shop, cafe, restaurant, clothing and shops.

Woodside Wildlife Park is a short drive away and is a great day out for everyone or if you fancy a flutter the famous Market Rasen racecourse is within easy reach too.

The village has several shops around the traditional village green, a café, Post Office and a number of pubs serving food. There is a regular bus service to Lincoln and further afield. The city of Lincoln is just 4 miles away, offering a wealth of interesting places to visit including a castle, museums and a stunning hill-top cathedral looking down over the city. The Cathedral Quarter of Lincoln is full of independent shops and restaurants while the city centre has a bustling high street, the Theatre Royal and the Brayford Pool area which has many water front restaurants, plus the city also hosts a famous Christmas market. A short drive takes you to the Lincolnshire Wolds, an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, where you can enjoy beautiful rolling landscapes, pretty rural villages and quaint market towns. Visit the pretty village of Tealby, the towns of Horncastle, Market Rasen and Louth, a Georgian market town known as the capital of the Wolds. Other attractions are the seaside towns of Skegness, Cleethorpes and Mablethorpe as well as the Lincolnshire showground which hosts many events throughout the year.
