  • "A lovely cottage with great views and everything we could ask for."

We have stayed in Owl Cottage previously and that was so good we returned to Pheasant Cottage. The cottage is well placed for lots of attractions, either on the coast or inland, yet is in a lovely quiet area. We stayed during a heatwave with overnight temperatures in the mud to high teens, so found the 10.5 tog duvet a little warm, and we would have liked a lighter summer weight duvet or a sheet to sleep under. That was our only issue.

thank you for your feedback we aim to try and please all guests Nice to have returning guests I will remember to change duvet to lighter weight one Property Owner

  • "We had a great holiday."

The bedroom was bright, airy and was lovely and comfortable, as was the lounge area. Having a little enclosed garden was also great. Barbara the property owner is very friendly and if you need any information she's available. However, there were a couple of basic things that let this cottage down and maybe we're being picky, but the kitchen utensils are a bit tired and in the bathroom, the shower is really terrible! It wouldn't take much to make this cottage fantastic as it's in the perfect location for exploring the coast etc.

Thank you for your feedback and suggestions however the plumber has done his best to improve shower we are closing Pheasant cottage January 2023 for 4 months for major renovations We try to help to make guests holiday enjoyable with local suggestions Property Owner

It was in a lovely situation and very quiet. Our host Barbara was on hand to meet us when we arrived. There was an issue with the television reception (probably cable connection), but this was resolved straightaway by providing a second television which worked perfectly. Lots of information available for local activities/walks. The cottage was cosy and warm and in a quiet location. The bed was extremely comfortable. As other reviews have said the cottage is looking a bit tired and needs some TLC. If you like an invigorating shower to wake you up in the morning you will be disappointed as the flow is very poor. The owners were very welcoming and quick to respond to a problem which we had during our stay.
