"Quiet, clean, comfortable and warm cottage on the edge of the Lincolnshire Wolds."
It has everything you need and is less than 5 minutes drive to Alford and half an hour to the coast. Lots of lovely walks in the vicinity. Railway Tavern in Aby is recommended for good food & friendly, helpful landlords. Louth is a bustling town with independent shops and a good market.
Thank you for feedback and recommendations of walks and local pub

"Nice little warm and cosy cottage with stunning views and great walks."
The nightime sky is also spectacular here as there is no light polution.
I cannot think of anything to fault, this place is an absolute gem. The owner Barbara is very welcoming and friendly and on hand if we needed anything.
I would highly recommend Pheasant cottage as a place to stay we will be back.

"Cottage was very clean and cosy."
It was in a lovely situation and very quiet. Our host Barbara was on hand to meet us when we arrived. There was an issue with the television reception (probably cable connection), but this was resolved straightaway by providing a second television which worked perfectly. There was nothing we needed and the good weather helped make this a fantastic holiday location.

"A really lovely cottage in a lovely quiet location."
Supberly clean and very comfortable and spacious. Situated next to the road but it is not a busy road so it is not a problem. The garden at the front is well secured so perfectly safe to let the dog outside without supervision. Plenty of footpaths nearby. Not far to town, but would need a car to get to shops, pub, etc.

"The cottage is in a beautiful location ,with walks from the door."
The cottage was perfect and the owner was helpful in every way.The staircase may be a little steep for the disabled but was no problem for us.Eating locally is a slight problem on Sunday/ Monday as places have done Sunday lunches but don’t serve in the evening and close on Monday. However the restaurant four miles is open on Monday and the Indian restaurant is usually open ( plus takeaway service)

"Delicious cake was left for our arrival."
Lots of information available for local activities/walks. The cottage was cosy and warm and in a quiet location. The bed was extremely comfortable. As other reviews have said the cottage is looking a bit tired and needs some TLC.
If you like an invigorating shower to wake you up in the morning you will be disappointed as the flow is very poor.
The owners were very welcoming and quick to respond to a problem which we had during our stay.

We took the dog and appreciated the roomy entry porch and ability to shut doors on different parts of the house. Great too that you can walk straight out into beautiful countryside.
