"A lovely cottage with great views and everything we could ask for."
We have stayed in Owl Cottage previously and that was so good we returned to Pheasant Cottage. The cottage is well placed for lots of attractions, either on the coast or inland, yet is in a lovely quiet area.
We stayed during a heatwave with overnight temperatures in the mud to high teens, so found the 10.5 tog duvet a little warm, and we would have liked a lighter summer weight duvet or a sheet to sleep under. That was our only issue.
thank you for your feedback we aim to try and please all guests
Nice to have returning guests
I will remember to change duvet to lighter weight one Property Owner

"We love Pheasant Cottage!"
It’s warm, comfortable and so peaceful. The views are wonderful, the sky is so big here! There are lots of country walks from the doorstep. Louth, Horncastle and Alford just a short drive away. Mablethorpe, Sutton on Sea and Skegness an even shorter drive away. Barbara the owner is lovely and made us feel very welcome. Perfect. We will definitely be back!
Thank you Julie for your nice comments

"We had a great holiday."
The bedroom was bright, airy and was lovely and comfortable, as was the lounge area. Having a little enclosed garden was also great. Barbara the property owner is very friendly and if you need any information she's available.
However, there were a couple of basic things that let this cottage down and maybe we're being picky, but the kitchen utensils are a bit tired and in the bathroom, the shower is really terrible!
It wouldn't take much to make this cottage fantastic as it's in the perfect location for exploring the coast etc.
Thank you for your feedback and suggestions however the plumber has done his best to improve shower we are closing Pheasant cottage January 2023 for 4 months for major renovations

It has everything you need and is less than 5 minutes drive to Alford and half an hour to the coast. Lots of lovely walks in the vicinity. Railway Tavern in Aby is recommended for good food & friendly, helpful landlords. Louth is a bustling town with independent shops and a good market.

"Cottage was very clean and cosy."
It was in a lovely situation and very quiet. Our host Barbara was on hand to meet us when we arrived. There was an issue with the television reception (probably cable connection), but this was resolved straightaway by providing a second television which worked perfectly. There was nothing we needed and the good weather helped make this a fantastic holiday location.

Supberly clean and very comfortable and spacious. Situated next to the road but it is not a busy road so it is not a problem. The garden at the front is well secured so perfectly safe to let the dog outside without supervision. Plenty of footpaths nearby. Not far to town, but would need a car to get to shops, pub, etc.

Lots of information available for local activities/walks. The cottage was cosy and warm and in a quiet location. The bed was extremely comfortable. As other reviews have said the cottage is looking a bit tired and needs some TLC.
If you like an invigorating shower to wake you up in the morning you will be disappointed as the flow is very poor.
