  • "We enjoyed our time at Bumble Bee Cottage, the cottage was warm and welcoming and comfortable."

The bed is very large and comfortable and we slept very well. The cottage is in a very quiet part of Skegness but in easy reach of town, all that was missing was some milk in the fridge on arrival but overall we enjoyed the cottage and we would stay there again sometime.

  • "What a lovely holiday home."

The bungalow is clean and well furnished and kitted out as a home from home. The kitchen has everything you need and more! The dishwasher was easy to work and fast. There is also a washer and dryer. The heating worked well and it was really cosy. The garden was maintained and I should imagine is summer is a great place to relax. Skegness itself was a pleasant surprise. Lots of individual shops, very clean and lots of good places to eat. I definitely recommend Bumble Bee cottage and would like to return in the future.

Cooker was a bit of issue, couldn't seem to get the fan assist working but no big deal. Comfy bed, plenty of closet space, garden was secure for the pup, ideal base for Skegness .

The only thing that let it down for me was not been able to put heating on in the mornings which were cold & the oven was tricky to work but I would recommend to people but in the summer when it's hot as the heating issue is the only negative I can think of but a lovely little place and I did enjoy it there.

  • "Bumblebee Cottage was very spacious and very well equipped."

However the carpets throughout the property are stained cream colour maybe wrong colour for pet friendly let. No instructions for the use of the electric oven. We were unable to use it as the temperature and zone dials have no settings positions visible. Garden area was not usable as the furniture was full of dead insects, leaves as well as cushions stained and wet. Also overgrown bushes at the rear and side of the property. I am afraid we will not look to book this property again for a property that has a 4 tick rating for us it fell short of expectations. Not value for money because of the issues we encountered

  • "Of all the properties we have rented through Sykes this was the best equipped."

The property has obviously been well cared for and maintained. Kitchen equipment levels were much better than we had expected, which pleased us greatly. The sun lounge, with it's reclining armchairs, was much appreciated during a short period of inclement weather as it allowed us to watch a short lived thunderstorm in comfort. The chairs were marvellous for catching up on our reading, also. Everything we needed to enjoy our holiday was available at the cottage and we were very pleased with our rental. One small niggle: the main bedroom faces east so at 05.00 the sun shone brightly into the room, disturbing our sleep. We managed to come up with an easy fix but a pair of lined curtains would be a good idea, otherwise absolutely no complaints just highly recommended.

Very clean and tidy on arrival, no welcome pack which was slightly disappointing and no contact with the owners (access is with key box) unless something goes wrong. Skegness is approx one and a half miles. With m&s and aldi about 1/2 mile. The bungalow is on a quiet estate, with views over fields which combined with the garden and sun rooms is very pleasent. All in all an excellent cottage and would fully recommend.

There was everything there that you could want. The conservatory was lovely to sit in and watch all the birds and the 2 large reclining armchairs were very comfortable. We also loved the garden and the field views, particularly when the cows came to say hello. Also happy with the addition of the smart TV which was very handy on rainy days.

We found bits of bread under the bedroon furniture, and an empty cake box under a chair in the living room. More detailed instructions on uding the cooker would be a great help - the provided booklet explains nothing on how to use other than turning onbthe hot plates. Other than that, we had a great holiday in a lovely quiet, peaceful location. Views out the back were wonderful and the cows came to visit, much to the amusement of our dog! We would definitely consider returning to Bumblebee Cottage in the future.

Loved the sun room at the back. Could relax and view the lovely surroundings and bird life. There were a couple of issues that need addressing. The shower head needs replacing as it’s impossible to avoid soaking the bathroom as the spray goes everywhere. Also the t.v. reception is poor. We couldn’t watch any of the available channels as the picture kept breaking up. Luckily Netflix was available which was a plus. We could see from the guest book that both these problems have been highlighted before. Bottom line is that we have been charged for services that simply weren’t there and should have been fixed. Having said that we had a great break.
