  • "Broadleaf Lodge was a lovely home from home experience."

It is set in a lovely area. Jane the owner is very friendly and helpful and our dogs loved exploring in the paddock. There was a heatwave whilst we were there so we didn’t explore as much as we would have done. We ate out at Tequilas Mexican in Lincoln, also the Pyewipe and The Greek house at Burton on the water, all of which were very enjoyable.

Morning Lynne, Many thanks for leaving feedback and for the photos of the dogs. I'll look forward to seeing you again in November :)))) Property Owner

Plenty of room for 6 adults and two dogs Lovely spaces to spend time together but also to split off and relax if needed. The house was well equipped and very clean. We enjoyed visiting much of the surrounding area with dog walks from the doorstep as well as country parks and places of interest within very short distance by car. We would recommend this house to anyone wanting a relaxing stay away from it all!

  • "Absolutely beautiful, superb, high quality property in an incredibly peaceful and lush corner of the countryside."

This was a family/friends stay for a milestone birthday and each of us agreed it was the loveliest and most perfect holiday home we had ever stayed in. The rooms are tastefully decorated and every last detail has been considered. Take binoculars as you'll spot lots of birds on the lawn. The wonderful design of the house allows maximum to enter and we enjoyed sunshine in the mornings on the balcony then in the private garden area in the afternoon. Although there are plenty of attractions close by (Brunsby equine charity a particular hit) but we found the house was so perfectly suited to our needs, we were loathe to wander too far (even the 7 and 11 year old preferred to stay there!) Host Jane is amazing - generous, thoughtful, friendly and extremely accommodating. A place we wish to return to again and again and will live long in our memories. A real oasis of calm - and astonishingly, the photo's do not do it justice - thank you Jane for a truly lovely week.

Lovely location down quiet lane surrounded by countryside. Walks from the door. Everything you need in the property. Beds really comfortable, kitchen fully equipped. Our young dog enjoyed the gardens and the property is dog friendly. Was able to close all doors to the hallway at night so she couldn’t roam the downstairs without supervision and the stair gate would have stopped a dog from going upstairs (ours does not go upstairs at all) The time went too quick. Would fully recommend. Many thanks to Jane who answered any queries we had. The electronic booklet about the property prior to our holiday was extremely useful.

The owners send a digital information pack out beforehand which is really good and very useful. It is only 5 miles outside of Lincoln but in really nice peaceful countryside. Our dog loved playing in the gardens (enclosed smaller rear and open front). Dogs are not allowed upstairs (ours usually sleeps upstairs at home), but he settled well and wasn’t a problem. The owner (who lives next door) was very responsive if needed but otherwise after the initial meet and greet left us to enjoy our time. Apart from visiting Lincoln, we mostly visited National Trust properties. We drove to Sandilands beach one day which was just over an hour away. Thank you for a lovely stay, we would certainly recommend a stay here

  • "From the moment we arrived I was impressed with Broadleaf Lodge."

It was immaculately presented and spotlessly clean. Although 5 adults, a baby and 2 dogs were staying the week we never felt on top of each other. When we wanted to spend time together we could, but there was also enough space for people to enjoy some quiet time alone if they wished. The conservatory was a great hiding spot for those wishing to read in peace and also handy for hiding our little girls birthday presents in until her celebration at the end of the week! The dogs enjoyed the freedom of the garden, paddock and whole downstairs and settled well sleeping in the utility (even though they are both bed dogs at home!). There were even toys and books for the little one so we would have managed easily without bringing our own. The log fire was cosy, the kitchen well equipped and the beds comfy. The addition of two beautifully appointed bathrooms was the icing on the cake. Even though the house is situated away from the village, it is an easy walk or drive to the shop with post office and pharmacy and a good deal of other amenities and attractions are within easy reach. One day a few of us went to Lincoln which was a short drive to the park and ride at Waitrose then a 10 minute bus ride to the cathedral. Another day we tried Doddington Hall which has lovely walks and shops even though the hall and gardens were closed. Jane was a lovely host, greeted me on arrival then left us to it, but always responded quickly to messages on the odd occasion we needed anything. After leaving we gave some feedback which she has taken graciously on board and fully seen from a guests perspective. We genuinely didn't want to leave and will definitely try and return in future to enjoy this beautiful house. 5 stars all day long!

The house is really well designed and decorated and very comfortable for our party of 5 - 3 humans and 2 dogs. The back garden is enclosed and ideal for the dogs. • "We were greeted on arrival by Jane, the owner, who lives next door and were given a brief tour of the property."

The home was spotless and well furnished, bed linen and towels are 5* hotel standard. There was the welcome addition of a freestanding fridge freezer in the utility room which was a bonus as the only other fridge is under counter in the kitchen (this new fridge freezer was not listed in the Sykes literature). The back garden is compact and overlooks a small industrial area, which can also be seen from the bedroom windows. However noise is minimal and did not detract from our stay. Location is excellent for city centre, local attractions and, of course, Daisy Made ice cream. Jane and her partner were so warm and welcoming, they waved every time they saw us. Jane even managed to get us a fan for the bedroom as it was so hot! Thank you for a thoroughly enjoyable week, we will definitely be returning.

  • "An Amazing House - spacious and comfortable."

Just returned from Broadleaf House where we have had a lovely Spring holiday. Situation perfect for exploring the surrounding area. Visited Lincoln and the Cathedral on a very wet cold day, but it really didn't matter as Broadleaf welcomed us on our return with comfort and warmth. Jane, the owner was particularly helpful with very simplified directions to Lincoln which we really appreciated. Certainly to be recommended !

  • "Lovely spacious cottage, which had everything that we needed."

Clean and modern decor and a well equipped kitchen. The two separate downstairs rooms were a bonus, and meant that the kids could take over one of them. We were blessed with glorious weather and we are able to explore the surrounding areas - Daisy Made icecreams just up the road is well worth a visit - they change their flavours on a daily basis.
